Cloward & Piven were two NYU sociologists and Socialists that predicated that by overloading the welfare system and drive New York City so far into debt, it could not recover and Capitalism would have to be replaced by another form of governance (gee, guess which!).  They almost succeeded.

Hmm, I just can’t decode this logic.  Professor Suzanne Venker was “disinvited” from giving a “harmful” speech at uber-Liberal Williams College – apparently, the students there think they are adults but prove they are little better than children. Its “paper of record”, The Williams Record, has a pitful editorial that, well, mirrors well what Venker was saying on Fox and Friends this past Friday (emphasis mine):

Uncomfortable Learning scheduled and later cancelled a talk by Suzanne Venker, founder of Women for Men, a news and opinion website that claims that the feminist movement results in female privilege and discrimination against men. While we at the Record believe Venker’s views are wrong, offensive and unacceptable, it is difficult to determine whether or not there would have been enough educational value in her lecture to justify an appearance, given that her presence on campus would have hurt students who face sexist and homophobic stereotypes.

Once again, we see Political Correctness (aka Cultural Marxism – the use and manipulation of culture and language to put a stake into E Pluribus Unum) in full display.  Hey kiddies – if you can’t stand the idea of having to be in the real world, go back to your safe space(s).  The rest of us call them “playpens” for you really are little tots, your expansive say-not-much vocabulary to the contrary.

Right after that piece on Suzanne Venker, they played a snippet of Hillary’s Benghazi Congressional hearing and one thing really caught my attention:

And flushing her campaign chest while flushing the whole idea of limited government?  After all, if Obamacare was the biggest Govt grab in the healthcare market, the out of control EPA’s Clean Power Act (“don’t breath – you’ll exhale CO2”) is worse – under the guise of Global Warming and CO2 control, the EPA is really out to take control of the energy sector just as they are transforming the relationship of patients & doctors to be under the thumb of bureaucrats thousands of miles away.

This is the vision of American that Kelly Ayotte is embracing – an all powerful Executive Branch?  She already caved on Congress’ Congressional power of the Purse (“We CAN’T shut down the Feds – I’ll have a fainting spell!”) and now she is all willing, under the guise of “working across the aisle”.

Well listen, Kelly, throwing away your Constitutional responsibility is not “bipartisanship” nor “reaching across the aisle” – this is an abdication of your responsibility to MAKE LAW – NOT what we sent you to DC to do.  Instead, with your support, you have nodded your support to the Progressive end state – rule by the Administrative State.  Congrats – you have edged that next incremental step to making Congress that much more irrelevant.  This is not, as you are wont to say “Common Sense” – this is just you trying to copy Scott Brown.  How’d that work out for him, eh?

It isn’t just the Obama IRS that has been shafting conservatives when seeking non-profit status (and then the Obama DOJ now clearing Lois Lerner of any wrong doing – blaming it on incompetent management), or the Obama Labor department going after large Republican donor / entrepreneurs for “labor violations” or the FEC now targeting conservative advocacy groups to force them to name their donors, and now seemingly seeking retribution against Hobby Lobby who embarrassed the Obama Admin at the Supreme Court on the soul crushing abortifacient HHS mandate of Obamacare.

No, not just the present Administration – it’s also Establishment Republicans who have also decided that conservatives should not be allowed to break up their love fest with power.  I ran across this short list – a good way to keep reminding ourselves that while Republicans like Kelly Ayotte are all over “bipartisanship across the aisle” (re: working with Jeanne Shaheen among others), they hardly consider their fellow Republicans as part of the club (like Kelly Ayotte screaming at/about Ted Cruz standing up for principles).  A friendly reminder as the primary approaches:

And yet we see THREE such Socialists running (again, counting the one already in the Oval Office) to rule this county that perports to be one where the Individual is supposed to be valued over Government.  Reformatted, emphasis mine:

Many have already said this but it bears saying again: America is turning itself into a nation from one of being of self-starters, rugged individuals, willing to take risks, looking to the future, and self-responsible citizens to being victims that demand that others care for them.  Instead of picking one’s self up after getting knocked down, this victim class demands that Government exact retribution of their enemies be they real or imaginary.  Instead of logic and grounded evidence, arbitrarily “connected” dots, emotions, and Marxist inspired class warfare is employed.

In all cases, these victims make themselves helpless sheeple who exude helplessness and an inability to take care of themselves.  This brings smiles and joy to those that are naturally born wolves – quite happy to oblige these clueless ones of what they are doing to themselves as well as to society.  In the first, these wolves will eat them, as Franklin correctly observes – what natural predator cannot resist prey that simply goes belly up for some insignificant reason (especially imagined ones).  And as one can imagine, even more wolves have been created – after all, when there is a vacuum of courage, there will arise those that will stream in to fill it.
