That would be “Administrative Law” – laws created and legally enforced (sometimes as felonies) by unelected, unaccountable, and unassailable bureaucrats. The Competitive Enterprise Institute has a report on how large of an impact this “extra-Constitutional” process of “legislating” has on the average American citizen who, if you haven’t been educated in government schools lately, our forefathers fought a war over “taxation without representation”). At least then, we knew who was doing what to us. Now, not so much – if at all. A sampling of the results:

Federal regulations and intervention cost Americans $1.9 trillion in 2017.
Federal regulation is a hidden tax that amounts to nearly $15,000 per U.S. household each year, more than Americans spend on any category in their family budget except for housing.
In 2017, 97 laws were enacted by Congress during the calendar year, while 3,281 rules were issued by agencies. Thus, 34 rules were issued for every law enacted.
If it were a country, U.S. federal regulation would be the world’s eighth-largest economy, ranking behind India and ahead of Italy.
Many Americans are concerned about their annual tax burden, but total regulatory costs exceeded the $1.88 trillion the IRS collected in both individual and corporate income taxes in 2017.

You will be seeing that image quite a bit, perhaps, in the near future – a new website is coming as I’ve just “pulled the trigger”. Why?

We are getting exploited by known hacks in the older version of WP (at least, that’s what I’m being told) that we are on. Our hosting company has looked and scanned things over and we did even a did database RESTORES in trying to move backwards to get rid of the malware. Unfortunately, nothing we’ve tried has worked. Add to that, I don’t have the skills to crawl over our WordPress CMS (Content Management System that drives GraniteGrok) to hunt down and kill the crap that need killing (I could have when I built GraniteGrok 1.0 on Moveable Type but that’s long gone now). The base problem is that we need a rebuild of the site to get it up to rev again.

NH Progressive Senators on school nurses- “local control is fine” (but only as long as you agree with us!)

State Senate refuses to roll back school nurse requirements

NH State Senator Woodburn basically just said exactly that about who controls the standards for school nurses:

“We need to have school nurses who are on top of the details and know what’s going on,” said Sen. Jeff Woodburn, D-Whitefield, in opposition to the rollback. “We settled this issue last year. The policy has been set. We need to keep the policy and not be flip-flopping all over the place every two years.”

Yet, when it comes to guns on school properties, these same Progressive Democrats were some upset that they didn’t get their way with NH State Senator Hennessey’s amendment to allow local School Boards, wern’t they? You see, they KNOW that most School Boards, being one of the foxholes that defend the Liberal mantras, would agree with them and carry out the NH Senate Democrats in banning guns on their premises. So LET them have control, we BELIEVE in local control!

Yeah, right – until they don’t.

Timberlane Superintendent Metzler: your “free speech” must have my prior approval before I will allow you to freely speak

Seems like the Earl of Metzler is coming up against “the rabble” (normally called students and people paying his salary) more and more. So he has arbitrarily decided to become like those college campuses that haven’t the foggiest idea of what the First Amendment Free Speech clause is all about. Instead – he “deigns” to decide who can speak, where they can speak, where they can speak, and when they disagree with him, not to speak at all. Free Speech? Ah, outmoded like the Second Amendment! After all, “safety” is the bugaboo of tyrants and totalitarians (and those that threaten Power) everywhere (reformatted, emphasis mine):

The superintendent of the Timberlane Regional School District is defending his decision to have a small group of student demonstrators removed from school grounds during a peaceful protest over possible staffing cuts Wednesday night. Approximately 15 to 20 students and adults with signs of support gathered outside the school administrative offices at 30 Greenough Road around 6:30 p.m., but police ordered them to leave the property and move their vehicles out of the parking lot. The demonstration was held amid uncertainty over whether dozens of teachers and other staff members will get pink slips because of a budget shortfall. Plaistow resident Kathy Slade — one of the adults who participated in the protest — said they had to park elsewhere because they were told they were not allowed to park on school property, including at the high school next door even though it was after hours. “I wasn’t surprised, but I was disappointed,” she said.

Metzler said the reason why he didn’t allow the demonstrators on school property was because the group had not communicated with him directly before the event to explain exactly what was planned and how many people would be participating. Metzler said if the organizers “took the responsible precautions and notified us, we certainly would have assisted,” he said. Metzler said it all came down to the safety of students and protecting school buildings and property.

Well, he took the bait and answer my question of “And how is “shopping for pleasure” different than “want”? I see no difference at all”. I still see no real difference between want and “self pleasure” – you’re still buying a product and in this case, fashion items. Now, me no know fashion from shinola – I generally don’t care unless it is for professional reasons in meeting with clients so I don’t have a dog in the actual fight of why H&M is tubing itself. I do have problems with activists going after companies simply to give them hard times based on difference on ideologies. But he did answer back; and I’m still puzzled over a distinction without a difference:

Great, just yet one more “thing” to add to the growing pile. It’s that second one that’s the line to pay attention to. If the GOP won’t protect the Second, why bother? If their actions give truth to this:

why bother? If they spend like Democrat Socialists (re: the Omnibus trillion plus bill, making drunk sailors look like the Wise Men), why bother? If they can’t bother to pay attention to the Constitution (“compromising” with Democrats to put further restrictions on political speech), why bother? If elected GOP officials (both in govt and within the Party) keep willfully violating the GOP Platform (like Jeb Bradley did here in NH by first pushing for enacting Obamacare and then pushing to keep it going; sorry, handholding Constitutional Carry is an insufficient “hiding shield” for everything else you’ve done), why bother?
