Go ahead, I DARE you to now tell me the difference between the Republicans and the Democrats in voting to fully fund the parts of DHS that Obama will use to work his (own words) illegal Executive Amnesty.  I guess now we really now know that Kelly Ayotte was against Amnesty for illegal aliens before (during her campaign) and now is for Amnesty – she just voted to fund it – showing that she’s willing to use our money to show us she “evolved” on the issue (as she was quite strident about support Amnesty until all those kids came across our border and she clammed up real quick about it).

Only TWO Republican Senators stood on Principles: Sessions and Inhofe.  A very sad commentary on the rest of the chickens.

The stalemate over funding for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) was broken Wednesday as the Senate voted 98-2 to proceed to legislation that would prevent a partial government shutdown. Democrats agreed to support the DHS bill after Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) stripped out provisions inserted by the House that would reverse President Obama’s executive actions on immigration.  The only votes against proceeding to the bill came from Sens. James Inhofe (R-Okla.) and Jeff Sessions (R-Ala.).

So, the Senate Republicans did what a lot of us feared – they caved, fearing more for their seats than what was right in fulfilling their oaths.  Shameful.  Those that put all they were on the link when they signed the Declaration of Independence must be spinning in their graves with screams of WTF!  Old Ben was right – “if you can keep it

LINDSEY GRAHAM BELIEVES GOP WILL GET BLAMED FOR DEFUNDING HOMELAND SECURITY

Moderate Republican South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham’s (R-SC) mantra, believes Republicans will be blamed if the Department of Homeland Security is not funded over objections to President Barack Obama’s executive amnesty…On This Week, Graham called for Congress to pass an unencumbered Homeland Security bill so Republicans do not get blamed for the department’s shutdown…“I hope my House colleagues will understand that our best bet is to challenge this in court, that if we don’t fund the Department of Homeland Security, we’ll get blamed as a party,” Graham said.

Er, no.  You know what it WILL be blamed for?  The Conservative base will finally show its disgust for you chuckleheads not living up to campaign promises – again.  All we heard was “Stop Obama! We’ll Stop Obama!”.  The worst was the overall thrust “you MUST elect us – we are your last hope!” and now we see the utter collapse of what ever political courage they had.  We’ve listed for years of “Give us the House!” and so we did.  Then we started to realize they weren’t serious: “Oh, we’re only 1/2 of 3 parts of Government”; true, but it disavowed their campaign wailings.  And then it turned into “Oh Wait!  All we need is the Senate!” and thus, we did – the base gave them a majority.  Vim and Vinegar, we assumed and anticipated.  No more Harry Reid to gum up the works, we were told. Certainly the Mainstream Media is hammering the presumed Republican Prez nominees if Obama is a Christian or not, for instance (reformatted, emphasis mine):

Scott Walker, a prospective Republican presidential contender, said Saturday he does not know whether President Obama is a Christian.  “I don’t know,” Walker said in an interview at the JW Marriott hotel in Washington, where he was attending the winter meeting of the National Governors Association.  Told that Obama has frequently spoken publicly about his Christian faith, Walker maintained that he was not aware of the president’s religion.  “I’ve actually never talked about it or I haven’t read about that,” Walker said, his voice calm and firm. “I’ve never asked him that,” he added. “You’ve asked me to make statements about people that I haven’t had a conversation with about that.

I actually thought that was a decent answer.  However, Obama himself said something that would tend to answer that question:

This caught my eye over at The Corner last night – a riff on Rudy Giuiliani’s saying that he doesn’t believe Obama loves America (emphasis mine):

I think Obama does love America; he just has a funny way of showing it. Some people see love as a partnership: “I love you, so I want to support you and reassure you and help you achieve all your goals.”

But there’s also the type of person who sees love as a project: “You’re a total mess, but because I love you, I’m going to make you lose 20 pounds and get rid of those awful clothes and find you some new friends to hang out with and tell you what to read and improve your taste in wine and get that squeaky sound in your car fixed and maybe get you off your butt a little bit on weekends, darling.”

Obama’s love for America is of the second type.

That latter part?  I don’t call that “love” at all in any fashion –

Read this carefully – Commissioner Virginia Barry (Ph.D. dontcha know) has just made it very clear – NH State Government has just stripped your “ownership” and responsibility of your own children from you.  And I thought my comparison was a bit over the top last night – this makes it clear that our NH Government has decided it has precedence over your children.  Are you going to let this stand – in a nation that calls itself “a free country”?  In part:

…All public school students in the designated grades SHALL participate in the assessment…

There is no “opting out” option for students in the law.  SAU, district and /or school personnel do not have the authority to develop or sign any form allowing a student to not take the assessment….

…Therefore, parents have no legal right to opt their children out…

The districts’ legal obligations are clear, and districts must not allow ANY citizen to prevent their district from fulfilling its mandate to administer the assessment to all public school students in the designated grades.

And that reference to “citizen” means you, parents.  And then it goes on in words that fulfill exactly what I said at the .223 rally this afternoon: Progressivism – where the citizen serves the State.  Here, the State is saying that your children must serve the needs of the State, no quibbling about it.  Here is the full notice:
