Well, it is clear that the ACLU (“woefully misnamed American Civil Liberties Union“) doesn’t like the Catholic hospital that wants to practice its religion with respect to its not wishing to participate in sterilization procedures.  That’s on one hand.  Yet, on the other (emphasis mine, reformatted):

The American Civil Liberties Union’s (ACLU) Florida Chapter and the Council Of American Islamic Relations (CAIR) Florida are suing the state of Florida for purportedly denying Halal meals to Muslim convicts locked up in the Miami-Dade Country prison system. The lawsuit was filed on Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, Local 10 News, a Miami-based ABC affiliate, reported.

LOOK AROUND AT OBAMA AND HILLARY DEFYING THE LAW WITHOUT CONSEQUENCE, and then, even if you read it when it first came out, reread The Coming Middle Class Anarchy. “What’s really important is that law-abiding middle-class citizens are deciding that playing by the rules is nothing but a sucker’s game. . . . 27. Infiltrate the churches and replace revealed religion with “social” religion. Discredit the Bible and emphasize the need for intellectual maturity which does not need a “religious crutch.”

First Amendment:

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances

So, again we have a case where a religious institution is going to be forced by secular humanists to defy their faith because the latter believes THEIR views trumps the former.  Tolerate much? Emphasis mine, reformatted:

The woefully misnamed American Civil Liberties Union is launching a crusade to force Catholic hospitals to act against Catholic moral teachings and the natural law.  This is an un-American attack on religious liberty.  The ACLU’s intentions came to light this week after it threatened to sue Mercy Medical Center in Redding, California, which is operated by the Sisters of Mercy. Methinks (and a lot of others) believe that the Trump phenomena is really starting to flush out the horror, tears, and sackcloth rendering within the Smart People of the Party.  When it all comes down to it, however, it is all about the slipping away of power from the Establishment as they just can’t control The Donald.  They understand the surge that is his followers and understand that it is they that can throw the real monkey-wrench into all their well laid plans (like the plans of President Ford, Dole, McCain, and Romney).  So we have this stupidness rising again:

The Republican National Committee on Wednesday privately reached out to GOP presidential campaigns to ask whether they’d be willing to sign a pledge stating they would not run as an independent candidate in the event they fail to win the Republican nomination in 2016.  “I [name] affirm that if I do not win the 2016 Republican nomination for president of the United States I will endorse the 2016 Republican presidential nominee regardless of who it is,” the pledge reads. “I further pledge that I will not seek to run as an independent or write-in candidate nor will I seek or accept the nomination for president of any other party.”

At least two campaigns reported they received a call from Katie Walsh, RNC chief of staff, asking if they would be willing to sign such a pledge.

Now we see the promotion of sexual proclivities, now a form of “social religion” and an overt discrimination of religious belief:

In addition to my last post, there is the work by Secular Progressives / SJWs to have all chaplains that actually preach their faith thrown out of the military and replaced, I guess, with only that that preach a social gospel.  You know, a gospel that isn’t based on The Gospel but on Political Correctness of the day (is an OMG! appropriate here?) (emphasis mine):

The principle of spontaneous order – or of “undesigned order,” as it might more properly be called – can be viewed as the first principle of economics.  Indeed, James Buchanan has recently gone so far as to suggest that it is the only principle of economics.  The principle is, in any case, a cornerstone of modern economics, whether we trace modern (i.e., post-mercantilist) economics back to Adam Smith and the other Scottish moral philosophers, or to the Physiocrats.  With this principle, scholars for the first time could see economic phenomena as interdependent events.  Indeed, this principle made it possible to reason systematically and coherently about economic phenomena.  Much of nineteenth century economics can be seen as consisting of developments of this principle (along with minority criticisms of the principle and the systems of thought deduced therefrom).

…the deliberately politically misnamed Affordable Care Act is anything but affordable.  A few examples (abtracted, abridged, reformatted):

• Alaska -state regulators approved a 39.6% rate increase for Moda Health
• Alaska – state regulators approved a 38.7% hike for Premera Blue Cross Blue Shield
• Tennessee  – BlueCross BlueShield asked for and got a 36.3% boost in premiums.
• Oregon – approved a 25.6% increase for Moda, the biggest insurer on its ObamaCare exchange.
• Oregon – commissioner told Health Net to raise its premiums by 34.8% instead of the 9% the company had in mind.
• Kansas – ObamaCare enrollees will face increases of up to 25.4%.
• New Mexico – refused Blue Cross Blue Shield raising premiums enough to cover its costs; Blue Cross decided to pull out.

But then, it was NEVER to be affordable – it was always about control (as well as using an offshoot of the Cloward-Piven strategy to crash capitalism and replace it with a Socialist one).  I laugh (and then cry) hysterically any time the feminists and Democrat politicians say “nothing should get between a woman and her doctor!”.  For starters, Obamacare defines EVERYTHING that goes on between those two, and with increasing costs of healthcare, these folks have made sure, over time, that nothing will get between the two for the woman will not be able afford to even enter a doctor’s office.
