Blogline of the day – Not exactly full of credibility here

On the news of the Democrat town clerk, Kim Davis, refusing to issue marriage licenses, White House flakker Josh Earnest had this to say: ‘No Public Official Is Above the Rule of Law’ Seriously – he can stand there at the White House podium with a straight face and say that, given how many times … Read more

Instead of pledging fealty to the Party…

Methinks (and a lot of others) believe that the Trump phenomena is really starting to flush out the horror, tears, and sackcloth rendering within the Smart People of the Party.  When it all comes down to it, however, it is all about the slipping away of power from the Establishment as they just can’t control The Donald.  They understand the surge that is his followers and understand that it is they that can throw the real monkey-wrench into all their well laid plans (like the plans of President Ford, Dole, McCain, and Romney).  So we have this stupidness rising again:

The Republican National Committee on Wednesday privately reached out to GOP presidential campaigns to ask whether they’d be willing to sign a pledge stating they would not run as an independent candidate in the event they fail to win the Republican nomination in 2016.  “I [name] affirm that if I do not win the 2016 Republican nomination for president of the United States I will endorse the 2016 Republican presidential nominee regardless of who it is,” the pledge reads. “I further pledge that I will not seek to run as an independent or write-in candidate nor will I seek or accept the nomination for president of any other party.”

At least two campaigns reported they received a call from Katie Walsh, RNC chief of staff, asking if they would be willing to sign such a pledge.

This is desperation multiplied but they have only themselves to blame;

That’s just so last century morality….

27. Infiltrate the churches and replace revealed religion with “social” religion. Discredit the Bible and emphasize the need for intellectual maturity which does not need a “religious crutch.”

First Amendment:

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances

Now we see the promotion of sexual proclivities, now a form of “social religion” and an overt discrimination of religious belief:

It wasn’t so much a choice as it was a demand.Chaplain David Wells was told he could either sign a state-mandated document promising to never tell inmates that homosexuality is “sinful” or else the Kentucky Department of Juvenile Justice would revoke his credentials.  “We could not sign that paper,” Chaplain Wells told me in a telephone call from his home in Kentucky. “It broke my heart.”The Kentucky Department of Juvenile Justice revoked his volunteer credentials as an ordained minister– ending 13 years of ministry to underage inmates at the Warren County Regional Juvenile Detention Center.

GrokTV: Ted Cruz at Grokster Mike’s – MicroInterview with Dilson

Along with doing a quick interview with Senator Ted Cruz, we also did one with Dilson – the college student that wanted to know where Ted Cruz stood on “free” education like what Socialist Bernie Sanders has promised, what Democrat Hillary Clinton has promised, and now, Republican Jeb Bush has promised the same free ride (and went FURTHER with “colleges to pay them back if they don’t graduate” – yeah, that’s Free Market, huh? – shucking the cost, eventually, onto taxpayers):

After the jump is the short “pre-event” and the intro ceremonies for the event.  And yes, I did everything “backwards” because, well, just because.

Biblically oriented chaplains: they ARE trying to get you kicked out

In addition to my last post, there is the work by Secular Progressives / SJWs to have all chaplains that actually preach their faith thrown out of the military and replaced, I guess, with only that that preach a social gospel.  You know, a gospel that isn’t based on The Gospel but on Political Correctness of the day (is an OMG! appropriate here?) (emphasis mine):

Following the Supreme Court’s gay marriage ruling, an activist is calling for the removal of “all homophobic military chaplains” who openly share their biblical views about sexuality, pushing back against claims that gays and lesbians are “sinners” for “choosing” their lifestyle.

Mikey Weinstein, president of the Military Religious Freedom Foundation, a group that the monitors perceived violations of the separation of church and state, originally proclaimed in an op-ed published following last month’s gay marriage ruling that chaplains vocally opposed to same-sex nuptials and homosexuality should voluntarily vacate their role, or be terminated by the Department of Defense.

That was said even with the First Amendment AND with this:

And Jeanne Shaheen will not be able to hide from this when it all goes BLOOEY!

From Commentary Mag:

Leaving aside the terrible damage the deal does to U.S. security and the stability of the Middle East, the most far-reaching effect of the deal is that from now on Democrats own Iran. From this moment forward, every act of Iranian-sponsored terrorism, every instance of Iranian aggression and adventurism as well as the Islamist regime’s inevitable march to a nuclear weapon can be laid at the feet of a Democratic Party. With a few exceptions, the Democrats fell meekly behind a president determined to prioritize détente with Iran over the alliance with Israel and the need to defend U.S. interests. By smashing the bipartisan consensus that had existed on Iran up until this year, the Democrats have, in effect, become the hostages of the ayatollahs. This is a decision that will haunt them in the years to come.

Indeed.  There is a reason why the Democrats have not been

“Is it open season on law enforcement in this country?”

In response to the execution-style murder of  Harris County Deputy Sheriff Darren Goforth, who was shot multiple times at a gas station in Cypress, Texas, Milwaukee County Sheriff David A. Clarke Jr. strongly criticized what he called the “black lies matter” movement and stressed that President Barack Obama himself had “started this war on police.” … Read more

GrokTV: Ted Cruz at Grokster Mike’s – Talk / Questions and Answers

Notable Quote – William Marina

Intellectuals and politicians enjoy the idea of power and control.  Like the mandarin, whose long fingernails demonstrated his distaste for, and ability to evade, physical labor, many politicians and intellectuals have an inherent dislike of the market economy with its emphasis on work, entrepreneurial risk, and money. – William Marina (in The Politicization of Society) … Read more

Notable Quote – Gerry O’Driscoll

The principle of spontaneous order – or of “undesigned order,” as it might more properly be called – can be viewed as the first principle of economics.  Indeed, James Buchanan has recently gone so far as to suggest that it is the only principle of economics.  The principle is, in any case, a cornerstone of modern economics, whether we trace modern (i.e., post-mercantilist) economics back to Adam Smith and the other Scottish moral philosophers, or to the Physiocrats.  With this principle, scholars for the first time could see economic phenomena as interdependent events.  Indeed, this principle made it possible to reason systematically and coherently about economic phenomena.  Much of nineteenth century economics can be seen as consisting of developments of this principle (along with minority criticisms of the principle and the systems of thought deduced therefrom).

Progressives like the word “sustainable”; with increases like this…

…the deliberately politically misnamed Affordable Care Act is anything but affordable.  A few examples (abtracted, abridged, reformatted):

  • Alaska -state regulators approved a 39.6% rate increase for Moda Health
  • Alaska – state regulators approved a 38.7% hike for Premera Blue Cross Blue Shield
  • Tennessee  – BlueCross BlueShield asked for and got a 36.3% boost in premiums.
  • Oregon – approved a 25.6% increase for Moda, the biggest insurer on its ObamaCare exchange.
  • Oregon – commissioner told Health Net to raise its premiums by 34.8% instead of the 9% the company had in mind.
  • Kansas – ObamaCare enrollees will face increases of up to 25.4%.
  • New Mexico – refused Blue Cross Blue Shield raising premiums enough to cover its costs; Blue Cross decided to pull out.

But then, it was NEVER to be affordable – it was always about control (as well as using an offshoot of the Cloward-Piven strategy to crash capitalism and replace it with a Socialist one).  I laugh (and then cry) hysterically any time the feminists and Democrat politicians say “nothing should get between a woman and her doctor!”.  For starters, Obamacare defines EVERYTHING that goes on between those two, and with increasing costs of healthcare, these folks have made sure, over time, that nothing will get between the two for the woman will not be able afford to even enter a doctor’s office.

I really do think he’s having fun this Presidential cycle

After all, how many political operatives, especially one that is not well liked by the Establishment Republicans (especially here in NH) get to prove the latter wrong and is the campaign manager for the guy leading the race – who also is holding up a digit to said Establishment by leading in the polls by double digits? How many political operatives in the country EVAH get the opportunity to do this?  And having a lot of fun all the while?  Corey Lewandowski had a few bon mots with Brietbart (emphasis mine, reformatted).

Sunday night Donald Trump’s Campaign Manager, Corey Lewandowski, lambasted the GOP establishment consultant class, when he joined Breitbart’s senior political investigative reporter Matthew Boyle on Breitbart News Sunday on Sirius XM Patriot radio, channel 125. Lewandowski explained that what most infuriates the establishment consultants is they don’t have any say in Trump’s campaign or platform. “It drives them crazy. They want to say ‘I’ve run a campaign in the past. Pay me for my knowledge. I’ve been involved with previously failed presidential campaigns,’” he said.

Government – so nice you NEVER have to see your kids!

41. Emphasize the need to raise children away from the negative influence of parents.

Like I have said for years, the Left has been arguing for almost any reason why parents should leave their offspring with government institutions: half-day kindergarden to full day mandatory kindergarden, Pre-school,  before and after school daycare, breakfast, lunch and dinner – all year round.  And for the kids’ kids too – daycare provided for middle and high school kids (except when, of course, these middle and high school girls are brought to the school health clinic and then a free taxi ride to Planned Parenthood where upon leaving, have left their kid for medical science (re: StemExpress and “intact fetuses”).

And now a Progressive Democrat wants your kids 24/7 (emphasis mine, reformatted)

Rep. DeLauro Pushes for Gov’t Assisted 24/7 Child Care

Rep. Rosa DeLauro (D-Conn.) has been promoting federal government child care assistance “that expands with need,” focusing on 24 hour availability and pay of at least $15 an hour for child care workers.
