The Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression has released its latest College Free Speech Rankings, and much attention is being paid to Harvard. It is, after all, Harvard. Out of 248 schools, it came in dead last for free speech, but Dartmouth College wasn’t much better.
Really, from being bastions of Free Academic Research and Debate to backing up Cancel Culture. A great thing to have done, Dartmouth College. You’ve created an atmosphere of fear and repression that your students fear retribution. Do you consider this your Mission Accomplished?
Dartmouth College recently canceled a live event featuring journalist Andy Ngo (we’ve got top to bottom coverage here). The College ditched it for a virtual version citing security concerns. We know that’s BS. We also know Dartmouth is at war with free speech, but I’m here to help.
[Updated below] US Senate candidate Corky Messner was scheduled to speak at Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire. But the title of the talk triggered the snowflakes who (apparently) threatened violence at the mere prospect. (Dartmouth receives significant amounts of taxpayer dollars.)

Kiddies protesting the latest thing have gotten out of control on at least a few college campuses. We haven’t seen anything like that here, of which I’m aware, but yesterday, May Day, that glorious Communist Holiday, “protesters” gathered to avoid classes in support of Gaza and Palestine. Some went to jail.
The Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression (FIRE) has released its latest looks at free speech on America’s college campuses. The “Spotlight on Speech Codes 2024” report grades alleged schools of higher learning on their speech policies.
On Wednesday, at the Hanover Inn, the React 19 panel spoke at length about the mishandling of the medical and governmental reaction to the SARS-CoV-2 virus that took over the world in 2020-2021. It seems like FIRE is being the junkyard dog with Dartmouth College (for canceling the Dartmouth College Republicans’ event with Andy Ngo) is its bone.
It’s nice to see that the Right side of the blogosphere covering how Dartmouth College Administration caved to Northeast Antifa and the Dartmouth Anarchists Heckler’s vote by canceling the College Republicans’ event with Andy Ngo and Gab Nadales.

Ted Geisel and his wife donated generously to Dartmouth (his Alma mater). The Geisel School of Medicine bears their name, but the College is also your typical Ivy League #Wokeistan. So, when the cultural head-hunters in Hanover came for Dr. Seuss, what did Dartmouth College do?
Dartmouth was where professor Mark Brey was teaching when he launched a book justifying Antifa violence to suppress speech with which Liberals disagree (with the support of 100 Dartmouth colleagues). Another professor supported the idea of Doxxing Catholic teenagers. And hating on Thanksgiving is a tradition.
Dartmouth College, like most campuses, is a social justice stink hole. A tough place to out yourself as a Republican, even a spinless one. The entire culture is against you. So, when an event cancellation over safety issues became suspect the Dartmouth College Republicans crapped their pants.
When it comes to Campus free speech, Dartmouth is the dog in the Granite State. Josiah Bartlett reported last month that New Hampshire’s Ivy League College got a Red Light for creepy community spying and reporting. UNH, on the other hand, got a Green Light, and I’m still not sure why?
