Rep Mike Pompeo, moderator Alan Cobb of AFP, Chris Horner of CEI, Kathleen Hartnett White of TX PPF, Ann McElhinney.
Came in on the end of Rep Pompeo’s speech, unfortunately. Seems like he’s well informed on free market energy policy.
Kathleen Hartnett White had lots of good info, but a bit dry. Find more here:
Chris Horner gave a short presentation on all the places around the world that green energy policies had been tried, what the green jobs cost, and what the fiscal and human costs were: The Spanish green jobs programs which Obama no longer talks about, the rising costs of energy and the annual costs for European families, documented in both conservative and socialist newspapers, and worse, the annual cost in lives due to inadequately heated homes (2700 annual dead in the UK alone due to higher energy costs).
Finally, Ann McElhinney, who debunked the myths propagated by environ-mental-wackos, including the awful, Emmy winning film, Gasland. Also completely slaughtered the way that enviros love energy, as long as it is generated from Unobtanium – natural gas was the holy grail with much less carbon than coal and oil, until it threatened to become plentiful, then they hated it. What a surprise.
What a great speaker, too.
