Decidedly liberal-leaning Public Radio in New Hampshire has a message for us. Those Democrats are not members of the Democrat Party. They are the Democratic Party.
For at least 80 years, some Republicans have referred to their major opponents as members of the “Democrat Party,” not by its name — the “Democratic Party.” It’s a jab suggesting that the party is not democratic.
At NPR we “avoid loaded words preferred by a particular side in a debate.”
Democrats at least technically are democratic. Pure Democracy is mob rule. The Democrats are all about mob rule.
And now that Democrats are Democratic-Socialists they are admitting they are socialists. Which is to say they are communists who are not Democratic at all. Because everyone knows the point of socialism is Communism.
Let’s borrow from Lenin, and feel free to see if the Democratic Socialists of Southern NH agree,
Capitalism can be utterly vanquished and will be utterly vanquished by socialism creating a new and much higher productivity of labour. This is a very difficult matter and must take a long time; but it has been started, and that is the main thing.
Democrats want the government to run everything, and they hate capitalism. With that in mind, GraniteGrok’s ‘style-guide’ will continue calling them the Democrat Party (cause they are not ‘democratic’).
Think of it as a progressive move on our part that demonstrates how we’re staying ahead of their political curve.
Loaded Words and So On
As for Nancy Pelosi Radio’s assertion that it avoids “loaded words preferred by a particular side of a debate,” we’ll be holding you to that standard. Frankly, I don’t think it’s possible.
Grok readers who can stomach the content are encouraged to forward examples of loaded words found at NPR to us for consideration. Perhaps we can have a contest of some sort and hand out awards at the end of the year.
Prizes could include loaded nachos (cultural appropriation) or loaded firearms (if the Democrat Party hasn’t banned them by then).
