MACDONALD: Circuit Court Says Trump Can Ban DEI Programs

If you search “Diversity” on these beloved pages (was that a stretch?), you will get over 1400 hits. Searches for DEI, Equity, Inclusion, or related forms of discrimination (and insanity) will overlap in some instances, but we’ve got plenty more to chew on when it comes to the subject, and it all leaves a bad taste in your mouth.

DEI is discrimination against white people and, to a greater degree, anyone who disagrees with DEI. That great big cog is just one of many in the Marxist-anti-colonialist machine, which is ironic. People talking about how people can’t be illegal on stolen land are doing illegal things in an effort to colonize and steal, physically and ideologically, all the people and all the land.

Everything within the state, nothing outside it.

Those aren’t bad reasons to push back; they are imperatives. DEI is a lack-of-confidence scam. They make you insecure, afraid, and get you to self-censor while they take their march through the institutions into every business and even your homes.

Some of you may have voted for Donald Trump to push back on this (and a bunch of other progressive crap). You recognize that DEI is bad for individuals, organizations, productivity, prosperity, America, and even the minorities it pretends to help. You were also unlikely to be surprised when a woke judge blocked Executive orders banning DEI everywhere federal dollars are disbursed.

Judge Adam Abelson (Baltimore) issued a preliminary injunction based on his opinion that Trump’s DEI orders violated the First Amendment, among other ludicrous, very likely TDS-inspired opinions.

Abelson’s ruling came in a lawsuit by the city of ‍Baltimore, the National Association of Diversity Officers in Higher Education and the American Association of University Professors.

They challenged provisions of Trump’s executive orders that directed federal agencies to eliminate DEI programs, certify government contractors and grant recipients do not operate them, and work with the Justice Department to take measures to ‌deter DEI programs and investigate companies with such policies.

I’m not sure where Abelson was hiding during COVID when Whoever was Running the Biden Administration (WRBA) down-streamed all sorts of awful, truly constitutional-rights-infringing mandates regarding the response to the COVID plandemic. Holding Zoom hearings masked in the comfort of his swanky abode, no doubt, maybe even engaged in a little toobining, who knows. [MACDONALD: DEI Training Created Racially Hostile Work Environment]

Abelson’s writ of ‘you can’t do that’ (contrary to SCOTUS’s reining in district courts from overstepping their separation-of-powers…power) was appealed to the Fourth Circuit, where a three-judge panel reversed.

But U.S. Circuit Judge Albert Diaz, writing for Friday’s panel, said Trump’s directives could not be challenged head-on, saying they could instead be challenged based on how agencies apply them to specific grant recipients.

“President Trump has decided that equity isn’t a priority in his administration and so has directed his subordinates to terminate funding that supports equity-related projects to the maximum extent allowed by law,” Diaz wrote. “Whether that’s sound policy or not isn’t ‍our call.”

Democracy Forward (which means backward, if you’ve been paying attention) is considering whether to appeal. Their clients, “the National Association of Diversity Officers in Higher Education and the American Association of University Professors,” are probably going to say please, but not because they think they can win higher up the Judicial ladder. They just want to stall for as long as possible. Wait for the midterms, and maybe Congress gets in the way or not until 2028 and a better roll of the presidential dice.

Trump won’t wait. His Administration will continue to use the strings attached to federal money to force DEI into hiding. But as we reported last April, the Trump Admin folks downloaded the lists of DEI staff in federal agencies before the EO was issued.

Universities tasked with hiding the evil followed the pattern and set the DEI survivor standard. Call it the Office of Belonging and roll the staff and budget under Human Resources. NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory tried to do that, but must not have realized an inconvenient truth. Someone downloaded all the DEI staff names and positions before the EO announced their imminent recruitment.

NASA rebranded the role of its DEI chief to “Chief of the Office of Team Excellence and Employee Success”. But the Trump Team isn’t interested in retaining Biden-Era political officers tasked with enforcing woke oversight in every aspect of government.

That former NASA chief, Neela Rajendra, landed on her feet. She is the co-founder of “Creating Space for Humanity, which cultivates “a values-driven culture that attracts and retains passionate talent, aligning commercial growth with ethical principles, and creating inclusive avenues for public participation—ensuring the future of space is both inspiring and sustainable.”

There’s no law against getting paid in the private sector by woke idiots, so good on her. But DEI pilots, truckers, and everything else have worked out (Not!) so well; what could possibly go wrong with rockets and journeys into the vacuum of space? Fatal ones, which is why, as with every occupation, you want the most well-trained and capable individual(s) at hand, not whoever got the gig because of their race or ‘gender’ or both.

Ideological nepotism isn’t likely to turn out any better than the original, but again, the private sector, with one caveat. They can be sued for discrimination, and DEI is built on it. It can’t exist without it.

So, here’s to hoping Trump gets the time to kill this infection everywhere federal money touches. A suitable reversal of misfortune for the decades of strings-attached-abuse that has only gotten worse with the rise of woke.

Oh, and if you want diverse individuals in space programs and space, you might want to spend some time telling the public school system they need to teach more minority kids to read and do math. If I remember correctly, DEI (and its cultural isister infections) insist these are racist and colonialist, but if you don’t flip that script, the only people colonizing space will be white and Asian (with a spattering of white Asians, light-skinned Hispanics, and the odd descendant from the Asian sub-continent of India).
