MACDONALD: The New DEI Term of Choice is ‘Global Majority’

We knew the DEI folks were never going to give up on their broken system or the power it affords their virtue signalling. Threats of defunding have not been exactly delivered, while the purveyors of cultural Marxism continue to find ways to subvert or skirt rules if brought into play.

Remember, they still think they are the most intelligent people in the room.

Say hello to the ‘Global Majority.

Burlington School District (BSD) states in its 2022-2027 strategic plan its intent to increase the “percentage of faculty (teachers and principals) of the global majority each year and ensure that every school has multiple staff of the global majority,” conservative watchdog Defending Education (DE) discovered and shared exclusively with DCNF. The phrase is used to refer to nonwhite races.

The majority of people on the planet are brown, not white, despite the left working diligently for decades to get black women to feel proud about aborting their unborn babies. Because there are more brown people, the white guilt gang has leaned on the term global majority to excuse illegal and discriminatory hiring and retention behavior.

One of the priority areas listed in the plan is explicitly titled “Educators Who Look Like Our Students” and states a goal of ensuring “students and families will have a community of teachers, school leaders, and district staff that are representatives of the global majority,” DE found. The plan mentions the phrase “global majority” 13 times in its 20 pages.

Vermont is not as white as New Hampshire, but if it wanted teachers who look like its students, nine out of ten would be white, and any other arrangement would be demographically contrary to the notion. The fact that any discussion of demographics on this level or in this manner is racist hardly matters. No sane person would fill positions in any manner other than choosing the most qualified from the pool of applicants. But the elites are not interested in going past skin-deep.

Remember, it’s not your money. You didn’t build it. And you are not smart enough to know that you exist to fund their priorities regardless of the outcomes, which, in the case of Democrats, is worse (than when we started), and whose solution is taking more money from you, which you only have because they allow it.

It is more important to serve the global majority, which is also code for redistributing wealth through approved progressive organizations who, like third-world warlords, use most of it to cover the cost of admininstrative overhead.

School budgets fund payroll, operational infrastructure, and risk management to ensure that the output of government-run education limits the number of free thinkers who might organize to prevent their subjugation by the state. This priority informs its objection to homeschooling, charter schools, and private education they do not command or control.

As for the global community, you can see the endgame there in places like Minneapolis and New York City. A desensitization to any objection to central planning or the inevitable tyrannies that spring from it.

Nowhere else in the world is there a national history or culture that values individual rights over the will of the mob. No other nation allows peasants to rise into the upper classes.

There is no room in their world for free thinkers or overachievers because they create a threat to their power and control.

Public education long stopped being about anything but securing future tyranny, and Burlington’s public schools are just looking for another way to hide what they are doing from the people paying for it.
