If you really believe that ‘there is no place in our country for political violence’, then you can’t support taxation. Because taxation — forcing people to give you their money, to spend it on what you want, by threatening them with harm if they don’t give it to you — is perhaps the oldest and purest form of political violence.
If you’re in favor of tax-funded anything, then the most you get to say is that ‘there is no place in our country for political violence that doesn’t support my views‘.
Which is exactly what the person who shot Charlie Kirk was thinking.
