GrokMeetups – would you come?

by

UPDATED and BUMPED: OK, the poll ends tonite at one minute to midnight. Let us know if you want a GrokMeetup soon or not. Thus far, it seems that the vote is yes – but who knows who’ll toss some no’s!  For the Yes’s, I’ma gonna need some help in finding places that won’t mandate masks – but won’t force you not wear them, either.  After all, it should always be “Your choice!”.

It’s been a long time since we Groksters sat down with you, our smart, witty readers. I’ll be the first to admit – as much work as goes into them, especially finding a place that would hold us I miss seeing y’all.

Sidenote: do you think Moonlight Meadery would allow us to enter (tee-hee)?

Each location has been different with different folks with different ideas and different questions for us; it keeps us on our toes intellectually and philosophically. But with the WuFlu Pandemic, we were forced to stop. I didn’t mind in the beginning because NONE of us knew what was going on. Now, however, it’s a different story completely – we know the stats, we know who is really affected (and who isn’t), and Society is opening up again (sometimes with Government permission – and sometimes, pulling an instance of Irish Democracy and ignoring them; after all, without consent of the governed, they have no real Power).

So, let’s get to it:

So, take the poll and, if you please, a comment or two below. Geographic location, weekday/weekend, time of day – all that kind of stuff. Or stuff I haven’t even thought of.

IF there’s enough interest AND I can find a place, same as usual – depending on the place, a small cover charge and the appetizer type food (or if we get to Murphy’s in Manchester, the pizza) is on us.  Drinks will be on your tabs and BYOMIYWO (Bring Your Own Mask If You Wear One).
