On May 24th, 2006, the so-called climate documentary ‘An Inconvenient Truth’ exposed Americans to sore loser Al Gore’s post-public-office wealth accumulation strategy: peddle fear and cherry-pick data into the perception of expertise, scaremonger bad science to sell people on ideas he would invest in.
Al did his speaking tours, got lots of earned media for his “film,” and cashed in.
Nineteen years later, the vice president who was worth about 1.7 million in 1999 is worth roughly 300 million. The world has wasted trillions based on the fear he popularized. A misdirection of resources that has left millions trapped in poverty while pushing many more toward it. And nineteen years later, nothing he predicted has come to pass.
None of it. Not one damn thing.
Those fragile ice caps, for example? The sea ice extent is higher today than it was in 2006. No cities are underwater, and the Earth’s temperature is not inhospitable.

And so we are clear: Normalness is not a result of the fearmongering and the trillions redirected ostensibly to alleviate anthropogenic “warming.” Atmospheric CO2 is a lot higher than it was in 2006. Not a thing they have done in the name of Al’s inconvenient truth has had an effect except to enrich climate hucksters like Al Gore (who didn’t invent the internet either).
We don’t have more storms or more severe storms. Hurricanes, snow, and sea level have been aggravatingly uncooperative. CO2 still isn’t even the greenhouse gas they claim. Meanwhile, most of the so-called solutions to mitigate the non-problem are turning out to be more dangerous to the people and the planet than doing nothing.
Just like everything else, Democrats insist we must do.
So, today, we celebrate nineteen years of An Inconvenient Truth being nothing more than a convenient lie. A political parasite that the Trump Administration is attempting to detach from Uncle Sam to save America from the catastrophic energy death spiral gripping Europe.
I will hand it to Al, however. He knows on what side his bread is buttered. He hasn’t stopped lying. He’s still working the grift, emitting far more emissions than the average earthling, and profiting from it: a hack opportunist who screwed over the planet and the people for personal profit.
