Ayup, there certainly is. And it’s easy to do…
Putting on the Mantle of Victimhood is easy to do. Everyone weak of heart and weaker of mind will wring their hands in horror.
When it comes down to it, “victims” are masters at playing on other peoples’ emotions and lack of ability to:
- Be skeptical about what they are told with only surface-level information
- Think hard to find root causes – to dig deeper
- Tell people off when they are just being Stupid.
Gazans, you’ve been at this since the Yaser Arrafat days. It’s all been a PR stunt from the get-go as a form of asymmetric information warfare.

Why should ANYONE believe “Abdullah Omar”? Especially when history shows us that Muslims have no compunction of holding Ramadan sacred when they are at war with each other? From the NZ Herald:
Islamic law forbids warfare in four months of the year, but Ramadan is not one of them.
Some Muslims believe there is no better time to fight for a just cause than in Ramadan, and some warriors believe it is a blessing to die as a “martyr” then.
Religious scholars and political analysts say battles during Ramadan have been common throughout the ages. They point to the first major victory of Islam at Badr in 624 AD and the conquest of Mecca, both conducted during the holy month.
Egypt and Syria launched the 1973 war against Israel in Ramadan, and Iran and Iraq did not stop fighting during Ramadan in their 1980-88 war.
Violence in Algeria, which has led to the deaths of more than 100,000 people, tends to accelerate during Ramadan.
Surrendering would end all the suffering and ‘dis-honoring’ your sacred month, Abdullah.
Give it a thought and save a few hundreds of thousand lives while you’re at it. All you need is a white sheet and a stick; there should be plenty of those around.
