First Old Glory Bank (No ESG BS) and Now ProLife Bank

In early December, we reported on Old Glory Bank. Not #Woke, no ESG, and no BS. Banking for ordinary people. Well, the idea’s been catching. Based in Dallas, Texas, but available worldwide, ProLife Bank would “honor God’s wealth and inspire change in our world.”

Stop NH From Exchanging Your State Sovereignty for Federal Money

Rather than address the people’s concerns about $27 million in federal funds that are slated to spread vaccine propaganda and enhance an unconstitutional vaccine database, Gov. Chris Sununu has spent the last two weeks attacking concerned citizens as “conspiracy theorists” and spreading misinformation of his own.

Texans Must Remain Resolute and Reelect Attorney General Ken Paxton

Dear Attorney General Paxton, I remember well when you first announced your plan to run for the Attorney General of Texas in 2014. All your friends and family were happy, excited, and supportive. We all believed in your leadership, principles, brevity, and conservative values.

Vermont Towns Line up to Let Non-citizens Vote in Local Elections

Vermont is not just a step to the left of New Hampshire; it is a leap. And not because of the Connecticut River. Many in the Green Mountain State are making a similar transition in the direction of the Granite State; not to escape Wackadoodle Vermont, but to poison our well with its toxic ideology.

Screw DC, Save Your State!

The states have a constitutional right to deny DC its overreach  on a wide range of issues but to do that we must act locally to elect officials who will stand up to the Washington Cabal.

Missouri Nullification Bill Set to Become Law

Missouri.svgMissouri House Bill 436, the Second Amendment Preservation Act, has arrived at the desk of governor Jay Nixon, who by all accounts, intends to let it become law without any action on his part.

When asked about Governor Nixon’s intention, a source inside his office told The New American that in an effort to avoid multiplying the several scandals already plaguing his administration, Nixon would likely let the bill sit on his desk without signing or vetoing it, thus allowing the measure to become law without his participation.

The bill would prohibit the Federal government from regulating arms or ammunition manufactured in Missouri that was only distributed or sold in Missouri.

Carol Shea-Porter: The Federal Governments Representative To New Hampshire CD- 1

I have long and often argued that Democrats, New Hampshire’s variety in particular, favor the top down model of governance.  The power and the resources (money) must descend from the point farthest from the person who is taxed for the privilege of being governed by progressives.

A prime example or proof of this “theory” is the desire to “get back” tax dollars from Washington DC.  Democrats argue that we need representatives to go to Washington who will work hard to get back the money we send to the nations capital as federal taxes.   But they have it exactly backwards.  We send representatives to the nations capital to do everything in their power to keep the money in New Hampshire in the first place.

The contrast between the two could not be more stark.

A Patriotic “New Years” Resolution – Resolve To Be Free From Tyranny

I wanted to wish everyone a Happy Independence day, which I did not in my previous post with the Declaration of Independence.  I also wanted to mention the strange feeling that I awoke with today.

I think I know what the second or third generations of conquered nations felt like; remembering the “old ways” out of deference to our ancestors or as a way of expressing defiance.  You can see the history in your own past, that of friends and neighbors, places and days, stories told, in objects and heirlooms.  You can even smell it and hear it.  But you can’t quite remember it.  That is how I felt when I woke up. Unfocused. Not certain of where the path was that I am looking for.

But I am not a “Sunshine Patriot.”  Most of my activism has occurred during these dark hours of the Obama years.  I didn’t have to be afraid of the Socialists hiding in the bushes.  They have been running my country under the cover of a propaganda media.   And despite these odds I am here, on the front line, every day, investing my own time and effort to promote a different message.   And I am not alone.  Everyone here at GraniteGrok is doing the same thing.  And at blogs all over the country.  And that is the message.  No matter what is set before us, we are not going quietly.  We will not just shout in the darkness.  We will instead light another candle to push back the infringing pall of tyranny just a little bit longer.  But we need your help.

A Real Separation Of Powers

Separation of powers is something of a throw-away phrase for the Socialist-Democrat-Progressives.  They hand it out like a comfort object to the public, a sort of well-worn teddy bear for the masses.  It is meant to remind you that no matter what they do (or did) that bear will be there to help you feel better.

So what if it is a highly regulated bear, made by dues paying  union workers, stuffed with warning labels, wearing a little red hat with a hammer and sickle on it, and maybe even an Obama T-shirt for good measure.

Separation of powers is also this idea where the three branches are divided to ensure that the tyrannical might of the federal government is divided to protect the rights of the people.  This used to work, right up until someone wrote the seventeenth amendment, and then politicized the national court system.  At that point we no longer had separation of powers just the separation of parties, except where the two parties agree; in which case we are looking at an Oligarchy by direct democracy, which is one of the shortest paths by which little Red Totalitarian-Riding hood arrives at Comrade Grandma’s house.

Why do you think both parties appear to be moving to opposite extreme’s?  Why are states rebelling against the federal government?  Because the system was broken on purpose, by progressives, who need direct democracy so that fear and intimidation can drive the polity to allow top down federal rule as the only viable solution.

So our central planning friends view separation of powers to mean separating you from their power, so they can go about the business of managing your lives, and no one has worked harder or longer to excise the power from the people than democrats, though the ruling class Neo-Cons have done plenty to help fill the picnic basket for grandma.

But there is a solution to this problem, one that can relieve the pressure of special interests, the boys club mentality, and the lack of responsiveness by the federal legislature to the state and the people.
