GrokTV: Special Interview – Herman Cain

Although, it was getting late in the evening on Wednesday, Herman Cain was gracious in granting us a few moments for one of the ‘Grok’s MicroInterviews after he had already spoken and taken questions at Ovide Lamontagen’s Granite Oath Presidential series: He will also be one of the forum presenters at the Americans For Prosperity … Read more

GrokTV Special Interview – Senator Rick Santorum (maybe a Prez Candidate?)

Yesterday, the ‘Grok went to the Granite State Patriot Liberty PAC’s TEA Party event at the Rochester Community Center.  During the speeches, former PA Senator Rick Santorum wandered over to our area and offered to do an interview with us which we immediately said YES to. Well, when you have political type people speak, they … Read more

GrokTV Event – NH State Representative Bill Tobin and Elaine Swinford

Bill and Elaine are my Representatives from Belknap County (although technically, I get to vote, and have voted, for Elaine).  Both took a few moments away from the NH House Chamber while amendments to the Budget bill, HB 1, were being debated:       Bill Tobin                 … Read more

GrokTV Special Interview – NH State Rep. Laura Jones

I can thank the self-absorbed union thugs in the Gallery for this interview, for if they had behaved in a manner congruent with the public relations personna that they push, and had not been yelling at the tops of their lungs and disrupting the House, Laura and I would not have met up.   Laura … Read more

GrokTV Special Interview – NH State Rep. John Hikel

Yet another Freshman Republican legislator, I’ve gotten to know John over the last few months, and when he came up to me to say "hi!", the immediate response was "Interview?" "Sure thing!" and so we did. He emphasized the need for decorum in Representatives Hall and what was going on with with Budget.  And just … Read more

GrokTV Special Interview – NH State Rep. Tammy Simmons

Tammy and I agree on most things but generally not 100% so that our email discusssions can get "lively", so I was really looking forward to get her take on the day’s activities.  Certainly she commented on the timing of the union members grandstanding, as well as on the budget process in general. Best line;  … Read more

GrokTV Special Interview – NH State Rep. Dan Itse

Dan Itse – Constitutional scholar and activist, Liberty and Freedom activist,  and ‘Grok friend.  He, too, comments on the budget but not the outburst as he was not present for it.  He did quickly gave us his thoughts upon the devolvement of power back to the citizens from Concord and that the opposition is in … Read more

GrokTV Special Interview (Non-interview) Gus And Rev. Bill

Not all of the Special Interviews were actually, well, interviews. Well, here we go: social justice.  While the House was debating and the unions were screaming, there was a group of liberal pastors upstairs praying.  And giving "non-interview" interviews.  John Hinkel‘s friend, Gus, decided that he wanted to find out what was going on. Thinking … Read more

GrokTV Special Interview – exclusive with NH House Speaker Bill O’Brien and Chief of Staff Bob Meade

Bumped, as this is a great elucidation of what is happening in the NH House – Taking that shop worn Liberal phrase, Power to the People, and actually sending, you know, Power back to the People – and not to Government ———————————————————————- GraniteGrok was granted an exclusive interview with NH House Speaker Bill O’Brien and … Read more

GrokTV Special Interview – PickupPatriots (but too ashamed to be known as one?)

I didn’t spend ALL my time inside – I did go out a couple of times.  This time, I was recognized by someone "Hey, you’re Skip Murphy!" (ah yes, infamous me!  Or, in that crowd, nefarious me!). Immediately "camera up" and started to ask what I thought were softball questions – have a name?  Purpose for being there?

Well, just like the "I’m a Healthcare Voter" campaign, the "I can’t talk to someone with a camera", you saw that she took off (if you recognize her, let us know).  My thought was ‘well, in the arena of ideas, she retreated real quick!" (must have been coached by Zandra).  And then I looked at the flyer she was handing out:

Well, isn’t this a nice, civil message being put out by the PickupPatriots – once again, we see the old tired, shop worn message that Republicans hate everyone except themselves.  Those stingy people, those EXTREMIST legislators!  They have only one thing at the heart of everything they do; they want everyone else to

DIE!!!!

Doesn’t matter that there’s no money in the till, that their bought and paid for political lackies spent it all the last few years (25% boost in spending the last few years – certainly, they are not "are you serious?" folks.  People are tired of seeing the unions getting the Dems elected and then see the Dems pass laws and regulations that benefit their voting benefactors (for what ELSE can you call the Evergreen Law?).

These self-loving fools think that only they hold the moral…

GrokTV Special Interview – Jeff Chidester

Not all of the folks that agreed to do "a micro" with the ‘Grok were NH State Representatives; conservative and TEA Party activist and radio host Jeff Chidester was also at the State House not to stand in solidarity with the public union members (although he was a union member for years and years) but … Read more

GrokTV Special Interview – NH State Rep. Lenette Peterson

This was a treat to do!  Another Freshman, Lenette was quite surprised when I asked her if she’d be willing to do a "micro interview" – or "shocked" would be more like it ("Who, me?")!  It was actually fun to do as we had only "met" via Facebook.  Somewhat of a two-parter as the ever … Read more

GrokTV Special Interview – NH State Rep. George Lambert

There’s an app blog post video for that!  Freshman NH State Rep. George Lambert had this on his FB page (apparently, simply because he acted like a grown up and said "hey, we’re out of money – the Dems spent it all" and voted for the NH House Budget (seems like there are those that … Read more

GrokTV Special Interview – NH State Rep Warren Groen

Warren is known for being one of the most conservative of the Reps in the Republican caucus – and give no apologies for it!  Pro liberty, Pro freedom, traditional family values, pro life…that’s the dude.  And a friend of the ‘Grok.  I caught up with him (along with others yet to be posted) to get … Read more

GrokTV Event – DJ Bettencourt

Two, at once!  I caught DJ Bettencourt’s speech to the assembled House speaking in favor of the HB1 (the budget) just before the Representatives voted on it.  Frankly, having never been in the House as a bill was being debated, it was a rather interesting day (although, a lot of time was spent outside the … Read more

GrokTV Special Interview – Freshman Republican NH Representative Bill O’Connor

NH Rep. Bill O’Connor is one of the many freshman legislators that were elected on Nov 2 as voters decided that they had had ENOUGH of the Democrat imperious and spending ways.  It was interesting to get his take on the happenings of the day and his experience to date on being a legislator. Certainly … Read more

GrokTV Special Interview: Grant Bosse of NH Watchdog.com

Before the festivities at the Manchester Republican Committee started, I grabbed Grant Bosse of NHWatchdog.org to yak about the Josiah Bartlett Center for Public Policy‘s new site, NHOpenGov.org.  What they have done is to take ALL of the money spent by the State of NH and made it easy for the regular Joe and Jane … Read more

GrokTV – Special Interview with Harold Turner

GraniteGrok was invited to Ovide Lamontagne’s Granite Oath PAC on going Presidential House Party Series; at this house event, Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty and his wife spoke to a packed crowd at Ovide’s.  At that event, we met up with Harold Turner, entrepreneur and now, proprietor of NHBizReport.com.  I asked him about his thoughts about … Read more
