The Debate You Probably Missed

Last nights presentation was attended by four candidate. Governor Buddy Roemer, Governor Gary Johnson, Senator Rick Santorum and Speaker Gingrich. They were paired up (Roemer/Johnson; Santorum/Gingrich) and given about an hour for each of the two sets. A moderator asked relevant questions and the candidates were permitted the latitude to answer at depth and engage each other.

Voter Fraud Workshop Tonight

Ed Naile, the Chairman of the Coalition of New Hampshire Taxpayers, will be holding a Voter Fraud Workshop tonight. It is sponsored by the Manchester 912 group and starts at 6:30 PM.

Dropping The Ball On Municipal Elections

Shrinking state government, and returning control to the local level, is a pointless endeavor if the people in control at the local level are all tax and spenders. And we seem more than willing to concede that space. The day before the Manchester filing deadline there were scores of seats uncontested or open.

Predatory Black Sexuality…or Something.

Racism, like atheism, is a funny thing.  Atheism assumes all the garb of a belief system for the sole purpose of demanding constitutional rights so that it can have preferential treatment over actual religions without any of the same limitations it forces upon them; to the point that forcing the absence of any expression of faith (as a form of faith) is a greater right of faith than actual faith itself.

If people were smart they’d walk into the nearest public building tomorrow morning and start complaining  about the atheism that is being forced upon them by the government.

Racism has similar privileges, afforded to the masters of the Democrat party plantation and their Steve Urkleown "left wing" Uncle Toms.  They are free  to be racists at their convenience, accusing others of it at every opportunity.  Here is particularly stunning example.

“We’re going to see how open [they are] to this black — their ‘new black friend’ when they find out he is harassing blonde women as opposed to black women. That sort of thing of black sexuality — predatory black sexuality. Very frightening in this country, still. Very threatening. So we’ll see how that plays out.”

Predatory Black Sexuality.  Probably not something you talk to the kids about over blueberry muffins and OJ (OJ? – Racist!)  And all this time I though PBS was the Public broadcasting system.  Little did I know it was something I was secretly supposed to be intimidated by.

To be perfectly honest, when I first heard of it (about fifteen minutes ago) my first guess was that Predatory Black Sexuality was just another course of study at the average left wing University.  And if you take it with a minor in (white?) Women’s Studies I think you can get a shovel ready job as a PR rep for Planned Parenthood.  You remember them?  They are an organization that  takes tax payer money to execute the by-products of the no-strings drive-by hook-up culture-sexuality the left has been selling to inner-city minority populations for the past 50 years.

Would Someone Please Ask Ron Paul…

Are we convinced a Nuclear Iran does not assist in the development of a Nuclear Syria, or Turkey, or some other Middle-East nation? We are to believe that a Nuclear Iran, which has been moving conventional weapons to Hezbollah and others would never think of doing the same with other weapons?

Democrat’s Say The Dumbest Things

Uneployment lineThe current Democrat class war is like punishing the advantage of literacy to pay for the economic misfortunes of people who refuse to learn how to read or simply do not read well.  People whose only fault is having succeeded are somehow responsible for people who have not.  And the Professional Left (and their amateur useful idiots)  will go to any length to make the point, reinforcing the popular right wing adage, "Democrat’s do say the dumbest things."

Take Merrimack’s political village idiot, Fred Morse.  In this mornings Sunday News Morse, who carries the lefts water in the print news at every available opportunity, made the following statement.

If there were any verifiable data that the richest were actually job creators in any substantial sense, that would be the lead story of FOX News every single night of the year.  So when someone says that the idle rich are job creators, they are either misinformed or attempting to mislead the public.

I’m not sure if FOX actually uses the words ‘Rich people create jobs’ (I don’t typically watch any television news) but I’m reasonably sure they talk about business, finance, markets, capitalism, investments, and all their productive and beneficial side effects.  These are the mechanism for creating wealth and for creating jobs.  So not only are they (FOX) talking about it, the very existence of jobs proves the point; that investment of time and money by free people creates jobs and that by extension people who chose to create jobs by starting a business can become wealthy.

[Updated] AP Proves CO2 based Global Warming Is A Hoax

GlobeAP has a story out today, which the green Yahoo’s at Yahoo! have put up front for all to see.  The front page lede is ‘Record Rise in Global Warming.‘  But when you follow the link the article itself is titled:"Biggest jump ever seen in Global Warming Gases." Talk about deception.  But then, the entire thing, like global warming, turns out to be misleading.

The article goes on at length about emerging Asian economies and the massive influx of CO2 into the atmosphere, but the only mention of actual warming is theoretical.

The article itself is so slanted it is past amusing and damn near criminal.

The problem, or course, is that CO2 emissions have been on an upward climb for decades while global temperature have failed to follow.  They continue to go up and down without any measurable or predictable connection whatsoever.  But that is just another inconvenient truth.  So does AP dare to mention that?  Of course not.  They can barely contain themselves while pointing out that the UN’s IPCC has come under criticism but that most of its conclusions are considered main stream if not a bit too conservative."

Bwahahahahahahaha!

So much for the IPCC passing Green advocacy puff pieces off as science, leaving out contrary evidence, and overall being written by and for politicians with an specific green agenda.  Then there is all that hiding the decline business that they are still trying to hide.

The story does get one thing right.  Global emissions are still rising.  The fact that temperatures have not been in any measurable way affected is only more proof that the "we are killing the planet" meme is just another truck load of nonsense.  If we are killing it it is by keeping the third world in the third world where the socialist elites think they belong instead of letting them develop into efficient modern states.  You need cheap power to do that.  There is nothing cheap about the lefts energy alternatives.

[Update] Hot Air is reporting on the AP report as well, reminding us that despite the CO2 emissions warning and the failure of every man-made program to reduce them, the temperature has not risen for 11 years.

More on the jump.

Dorothy The Hooker of Oz

It’s kids, candy, wild grown up costume parties, and Dorothy the Hooker from Oz. Makes you wonder what song the boys from the Lollypop Guild might have sung if Dorothy from Kansas showed up dressed like this?

JP Marzullo Comes Out of the Closet?

Keep leftNote to the world: even if one of my three children turns out to be a homosexual–and no I will not love or care for them any less if they do–I still would not publicly prostitute myself and my principles to the progressive agenda.  NHGOP Area 3 Vice Chair J.P. Marzullo, on the other hand, does not have a problem with that.  And it is not so much the topic that suggests a progressive thread in the fabric of his otherwise pro-liberty, family values life, as it is the way in he attempts to make his argument.

The vehicle is a November 1st editorial in the Concord monitor in which Marzullo pokes at our ‘Tiny Tim’ gland, pleading with New Hampshire Republican legislators to vote against any change in New Hampshire’s current homosexual marriage law.  And like any seasoned social justice Democrat, we get both barrels from the empathy gun.  How God was showing him his own personal need to be more understanding and tolerant nineteen years ago.  He provides suicide estimates for gay teenagers (I have no idea why).   He fingers divorce as a greater danger to the family than Gay marriage (without reminding you that similar left wing social engineering and meddling in ‘marriage’ is almost entirely responsible for the divorce problem).   We even get the ‘Gay Americans are legal citizens and productive members of society who fight in the military" routine.

Democrat Chairman Ray Buckley could have wrote this. So has JP come out of the progressive closet?

A Question for NH Democrats & Unions…

Is this the NH Democrat parties postion as well, and that of the state union, SEA, SEIU, Teamsters and others who are insisting that New Hampshire workers have no right to opt out of paying union dues just to get a job? Does the Federal government have the right to close a business or a facility in our state, and force those workers out of their employment, simply becasue they are either not unionized or have voted to de-certify the union, as is the case in South Carolina?

Do You Beleive In Warrenism?

The Elizabeth Warren notion of who paid for what is no different than the public union employees who cry “but we pay taxes too?”

Really?  If we stopped paying taxes, how would you pay yours?  How would you pay for anything?  (Hint: You’d have to work in the real world.)

Public employees can only pay their taxes after we pay them with ours.  It is like an allowance and subject to the same rules.  If we no longer feel we need or can afford to provide for it, we can choose to stop.

So nothing exists in government (including public sector paychecks, roads, bridges, or US Senatorial lifestyles for those wishing to aspire to them) unless someone else first earns something or creates something that they are willing to exchange for something done by government.

Warrenism and left wing class warfare, however,  turns the relationship upside down.

Warrenism states that those receiving the allowance will not only define how much and how often they are paid (under threat of intimidation, public humiliation, lawsuits, and even imprisonment), they will also decide how it is to be spent and who and what will benefit. The problem with this scenario is that, as has often been said, you eventually run out of other peoples money So Warrenism is actually just another form of economic suicide that ends the way every other socialist hissy-fit has ended; in misery or violence, or more likely plenty of both.

No matter what happens Elizabeth Warren and the left wing elites will be fine.  That should tell you something about who they are and what they really care about.  Power.

#OccupyRapSheet (So Far)

Direct from John Nolte at Big Government, we have a list things that the left wing and Democrats support and we can only assume emulate.

Captain Obvious Gets More Affirmation- And why Democrats MUST Be Removed From Power

I’d like to think I was out in front when declaring that Fast And Furious was a government plan to bring left wing rhetoric to life.   Smoking gun

Or was I just being captain obvious; Democrats secretly selling American guns to violent Mexican criminals so they could later find those guns at crime scenes and use that to make the case for limiting the right to buy or own firearms.  Who could doubt that scenario?  It made perfect sense to me.  It is your typical left wing Shakespearean tragedy, staged to persuade the inattentive rubes who still have some sliver of trust in the government, or believe that the Democrat party just want’s to protect them.

Well this should poke a hole in that balloon.  “Why would an anti-gun administration knowingly force licensed firearms dealers to sell guns to violent criminals?”

Why is that?  Well we know why because it is obvious.  To sell their own preferred anti-gun policy potions and prepare the soil for their legislative “response” to the expected “outrage.”  But If Democrats are willing to do this just to deny Americans their second Amendment rights, what wouldn’t they be willing to do to advance every other part of their anti-liberty agenda?   (At least a few people could be having na epiphany right now so let’s give them a moment to enjoy it…)  OK.

Shall we proceed?

Stonyfield CEO In Line For Another Pile of Taxpayer Cash?

>The question should not be if Stonyfield Dairy CEO and prolific Democrat donor Gary Hirshberg gets another pile of taxpayer cash, it should be “how much is he going to get?”  But whatever do I mean?

The University of New Hampshire has just been approved to receive a Department of Agriculture grant totaling $2.86 million dollars to “enhance the year-round capacity of northeast organic dairy producers to produce high quality component-enriched organic milk.”

Hirshberg is almost always on the receiving end of taxpayer funded public largesse.  In August of 2010 he was awarded $100,000.00 by Democrat Governor John Lynch and the State of New Hampshire as part of a job training program.

Not long after Stonyfield was fingered by Senator Tom Coburn over the matter of a $700,000.00 Federal grant to the University of New Hampshire to study the environmental impact of organic dairy farms on the environment.  Who do you think just happens to have an organic Dairy Farm?  An organic dairy farm run by the Hirshberg’s but majority owned by Dannon /Group Danone, one of the largest food companies on the face of planet earth.

How big is Danone?

Harrell Tweets On Right To Work (revisited)

With the Union Leader reporting again that New Hampshire has the lowest poverty rate in the nation and is the only state under 10%, this seemed like a good time to revisit a post from mid-September; I expect the left will be regurgitating this meme so we should be prepared to rebut their nonsense.

Harrell Tweets On Right To Work

HKirstein%20RTW.JPGSo here we have New Hampshire Democrat Party Propaganda Minister Harrell Kirstein sharing some cherry picked wisdom.

"7 of 10 poorest states are RTW4Less states…blah blah blah."

My first thought is, define poor? (…without getting into this and this.)

Poor, like rich, is an elastic concept which our friend Harrell and the Demolition party stretch to fit their narrative.   It looks at wages but ignores things like cost of living, tax burden and relies entirely on total annual income as an arbitrary line drawn on a national chart, to define poverty, irrelevant of any other factor.  But it is these factors that affect wages and as it turns out, states without Right to Work are exponentially more expensive places to live.  So even if you are working for less income, you’re spending exponentially less of it on things you need to live a comfortable life.  And here’s one very critical example of that.

Left Wing “Fair Tax” In Trouble?

It is no secret that the Granite State Fair Tax Coalitions (GSFTC) is a hive of left wing Democrat tax and spend socialists trying to hide behind a so-called bi-partisan front group.  It is run by leftists (here and here), colludes with leftists, and seeks to advance Democrat party tax policy under the false notion that our current system of taxation in New Hampshire is some how not fair.

But the evidence continues to confound their false narratives.

Despite the GSFTCs misrepresentation of facts and the spinning of data to mislead, whatever our tax system is in New Hampshire, it continues to provide a better quality of opportunity than any other state in the Nation.  The US census reports that New Hampshire has the lowest poverty rate in the country.

Well how the hell did that happen?  I thought things were so unfair here?  How could our "unfair" tax system still allow for the best economic environment for people to thrive in?  And in this lousy economy to boot?  We have the lowest poverty, one of the highest standards of living, and one of the safest to live in as well.  Could it be because our current system also provides one of the lowest overall tax burdens in the country as well?  Can we argue that low overall tax burden–the result of our so-called "unfair" system of taxation, is somehow more effective at keeping people above the poverty line than any other state in the country?

Hell yeah.
