You Are Racist Just For Running

Mitt Romney - Candidate for President - but is he a racist for running
Mitt Romney - How Dare You Run Against This President

This is not an earth shattering observation but seeing as I was just making this point last weekend I figured I should post it.  What did I say?

That it was only a matter of time before the media started trying to explain how “just running” against this incumbent president (Mr. Obama) is racist.

To Quote Elrond from the Lord of the Rings…’It has begun.’

At The Chris Matthews Hour of Hate the Left has laid the foundation for this argument with the notion that simply running against a sitting President (like say, Obama) shows disdain and arrogance.  Honestly, what was Mitt Romney thinking?

This is the first step toward the broader narrative.

Reason 2,301,456 why the Media is in the Democrat tank for Obama

Like I said here, the Mainstream Media always picks side in the political battles and will pretty much sink to the occasion of “fair and balanced” when spinning what should be straight news.  The graphic is right: In LIBYA for gosh sakes, where they just fought a major civil war and things STILL haven’t calmed down, there was no Marine contingent to protect US officials ON US SOVEREIGN SOIL?  What first seemed to be a “protest” has turned out to be planned, coordinated Al Qaeda operation over multiple locations?

You know, why is the MSM so taken with what ended up with an accurate portrayal of actual events by Romney and NOT what is important – why was this missed, why weren’t adequate steps taken for contingency planning (if this happens, do this; if that, do plan B – you know, doing some rudimentary “planning?), where was the intel lapse, why was Obama skipping out on his intel meetings, and so on?

Instead of substance, it was ‘surface” – it has all been a cover for Obama via “attack the messenger”?  This is not just a #FAIL for the Obama Doctrine and his Administration, but for the MSM for not just doing basic journalism – instead, they go all “opinion” on Romney’s butt as if this was all his fault.

Obamanation. The (ever growing) List

I should have done this long ago because it’s very difficult to remember the multitudes of  disasters achieved by Obama and Democrat rule.  So here’s the first edition of an obviously non-exhaustive list of achievements accomplished by Obama and the Donks.  I plan on updating this frequently as more comes to my memory (feel free … Read more

Play Politics In Perpetuity And Pay

Today White House Press Secretary Jay Carney declared that the embassy protests, firebombs, assassinations and all out mayhem is in response to a video and not at all “… directed at the United States, writ large, or at U.S. policy.”  (h/t mediate)

“This is a fairly volatile situation, and it is in response not to U.S. policy, not to, obviously, the administration, not to the American people. It is in response to a video – a film – that we have judged to be reprehensive and disgusting.”

Political cover bordering on delusional denial.

Obama Golf Counter Update.

As Mr. Obama rides cross country attending more fundraisers and campaign events than any president in history (historic presidency indeed; historic campaigning, historic debt, historic deficits, historic unemployment; historic number of people on food stamps…yadda yadda yadda..)  he still seems to be finding time for Golf. That’s right people, “Fore” more years–he should have bumper … Read more

Economic Dunce!

Oh, that’s right – he is the Blameless One! (H/T: Liberal Logic 101)

A Model for the Rest of New Hampshire

Tonight, the Rochester City Council voted against joining The Granite State Futures program, which is New Hampshire’s implementation of Barack Obama’s Sustainable Communities Initiative.

A few weeks ago, about 50 people (from Rochester and many surrounding communities) showed up at a City Council workshop to voice their opinion against this program, which includes an approximate $30,000 planning grant.  It wasn’t until tonight’s vote that someone showed up to speak in favor of the program – Regional HUD representative (and Republican), Greg Carson, who was ill during the night of the workshop.

At least 70 people showed up tonight for the vote.

In these economic times, grant money like this is tempting for cities and towns that are likely in financial straits.  But Rochester has accepted Federal grant money in the past and got burned; they apparently heard the warnings from the public, and gave sufficient weight to prior experience.

Parliment of Whores Update – ‘Fore’ More Years

The lefts parliament of whores has convened in Charlotte and two important things happened.  First, Charlotte’s collective IQ dropped 70 points.  Second, they want four more years. Of what? Upcoming Obama Portsmouth Visit Angers Parents -Schools Will Have To Close [Updated]

Obama visit to Portsmouth NH will cause schools to closePortsmouth has announced that it will cancel school on Friday to accommodate President Obama’s visit.  The presence of dear leader will clog up traffic, block roads, and result in building closures so the district has thrown in the towel.  They will have to make the day up In May.

This is not a decision in a vacuum.  When kids stay home adults have to rearrange their lives.  Work, appointments, the added cost for unplanned day care if they can’t change plans or skip work when Obama stops buy to campaign, it all adds up.  Not that Obama gives a damn.  His campaign isn’t going to pay for any of the other costs his campaign appearances force upon local tax-payers.  Campaign appearances….paid for by taxpayers.

Has anyone estimated how much the campaign stop will cost the city of Portsmouth?

Just listen to his own words – nothing new….

One of the most devastating and humiliating things that can happen to a politician is to use their own words against them.  It’s rather easy to do nowadays – the Internet forgets NOTHING and the barrier to play this game is about zilch. “By their words, ye shall know them”

Is it EVER about anybody but Obama?

Obama Praising Armstrong With Picture Of ObamaThis by Iowahawk was sent along by Grokster Susan:

Special Iowahawk Guest Commentary
By Barack Obama, Stargazer-in-Chief

When I learned of the untimely passing of Neil Armstrong I was, like all Americans, deeply moved and saddened. I share your sense of loss for this American hero, even if his fame had been eclipsed by others over the years. But in our shared moment of grief, let us also celebrate his historic accomplishment in becoming the first astronaut eulogized by me, Barack Obama, our nation’s historic first African-American president.

Neil’s passing gives all of us all pause to consider deeper questions. What does it mean for the future of space exploration? How proud would Neil have been to have a famous historic president refer to him by first name? And, most importantly, how did his death inspire that historic president to make ever more gigantic leaps for mankind?

For one thing, it inspired me to venture off on a historic twilight photo mission in a Maryland cabbage field. There I stood, gazing into the night sky, providing a dramatic backlit silhouette of inspiration for generations of future space explorers. In the centuries to come, space fans around the world will look to this indelible dorm poster image of Barack Obama, representing humankind’s enduring pioneering spirit of exploration, and be spurred to dream their impossible dreams of Obama-like accomplishment.

Guest Post / Movie Review by Steve Patton – “2016”

Both Groksters Mike and Tom put up posts concerning the now out move “2016” – the stealth movie on Barack Obama (“who or what is he really?”).  ‘Grok friend, Steve Patton, went to see the movie today and offered to write a quick review of his thoughts:

I took my family to see Dinesh D’Souza’s “2016” at the Fox Run Mall, just one day after it’s release.  I can lay claim to being somewhat of a student of Barack Obama, having read his autobiography “Dreams From My Father” in 2008 as his election drew near.  I published a website (now only found on the Wayback Machine) of direct quotes from the book, hoping to dissuade my countrymen from electing this anti-American as their next president, alas to no avail.

Much of the material for the movie “2016” comes from the book “Dreams From My Father” and is heavily supplemented by extensive research done by D’Souza. The movie is engaging, and insightful.  My teenage children were equally interested in the content, sparking healthy conversations on the way home. Be forewarned, however, that the movie is not hopeful.  A nation foolish enough to elect Obama once may indeed be foolish enough to do it again.

The key insight of the movie is the identification of Obama’s core principles. The journey to discover those principles is as unsettling as it is illuminating.  The movie analyzes a number of confusing decisions by the President which highlight his true values even as they disorient most Americans and even traditional Democrats:
