Last week, Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV) announced he would not seek reelection in 2024. In a Wall Street Journal op-ed, Manchin explained his reasons for leaving. He starts with a relatively noncontroversial assessment of the problems facing America—rising costs, dangerous drugs crossing the border, a large national debt, unsafe communities, and foreign wars that threaten to pull the United States in.
No Labels
The “No Labels” Party Tricksters. They Call Themselves Problem Solvers. And Then Give Themselves a “Label”?
Putting aside that calling themselves “No Label” IS a label, it’s clear, after reading their Policy website, they have already labeled themselves. Calling their Policy website CommonSenseMajority.org is both a message and a label.
NoLabels No Mas?
Without getting into the weeds, the differences between the Real Right and the True Left are simple. The Right wants maximized individual liberty with limited government oversight. The Left wants maximized oversight regardless of the cost to individual rights.
Word Sausage and Another Great Example of Socialists Hiding Who They Are
I never get surprised anymore by the pretzel twisting “Progressives” will put themselves through to not use the word “Socialist” when discussing Policy or implementing it like they are now.
A brutal line and validating Steve MacDonald’s claims about a stealth Lefty group.
Just a brutal takedown by Grant Bosse at the UL of hopeful Democrat Governor candidate Steve Marchand:
But Steve Marchand is doing his best to make Kelly look like Barry Goldwater.
Both balls into the Left’s pool table left side pockets – a two-fer in marking Marchand as a true extremist with his anti-traditional American Exceptionalism stances and given that Molly Kelly is just to his right on the political spectrum, being called Goldwater probably raised her blood pressure a decade or so. Let’s face it, even the RINOs to her right have a cow being called such. Well played!
Steve MacDonald began railing against the “No Labels” group when it appeared on the scene and correctly calling it out for being a group camouflage for RINOs that felt at home in “No Labels”because it validated their No Principles stances. It served Democrats by allowing them to rub elbows with the RINOs laughing inside going “heh, these guys are giving me cover” until it was time for them to tell their Leftist brethren “here, hold my beer” and pop up showing the labels we put on them were genuinely earned as they shucked off that camo netting:
No Labels is Now New And Improved!!!
No Labels has grown tired of being No Body, of No Interest, and having No point, so they are “shedding their centrist label.”
For those of you who slept through the first part of this ‘movie,’ No Labels started out under the assumption that we could get a lot more done if we left our political labels at the door. “Not Left. Not Right. Forward.” That was their slogan.
“Forward,” being a the same historical buzz word for left-leaning progressive socialist publications, should have clued everyone in as to the true purpose of a group founded by progressives from both the right and the left.
No Labels – Why Are All Their “Leaders” Leftists?
No Labels, the latest of many left wing funded efforts to drag the right into the middle and the middle leftward, is looking for you to help them spread their message. But before you drop your values, abandon your principles, and jump into the center, you might want to know something about their latest pitchman, or should I say woman, Catherine “Kiki” McLean.
Did Maggie Hassan…Just Take A Step To The Right?
Now that she has so much free time on her hands, former State Senator Maggie Hassan is proudly advocating for her newest hobby, the group No Labels. This means that Maggie ‘The Red’ Hassan is advocating for moderate debate that is open to all sides with a goal of non-partisan compromise. I also hear that Michael Vick would like to buy a dog?
I’d sooner trust Vick with the dog.
This is a woman who tried to socialize medicine in-state, legislate away free speech she objects to, advocates for abortion from conception to delivery, and is committed to advance the size, scope, control, and cost of the government. If she has a middle ground, it is not just left of center, it is far left. So Hassan advocating No Labels is like Kathy Griffin, or Janeane Garofalo advocating tolerance.
It’s only funny because it is so absurd.
But could Hassan have had an epiphany? Has her unexpected defeat resulted in a cathartic de-gentrification of her traditional ruling class elitism? Is it possible that a woman steeped in the progressive super culture could abandon her pro-government/liberal materialism to spend forty days in the desert on a moderate vision quest? Or is this, more likely, just a flanking maneuver.
Maggie ‘The Red’ Hassan is advocating No Labels because she wants to be governor Hassan; think of it as an undocumented progressives worker program or Fascists anonymous–only it’s not about recovery or remission, it is about hiding who you really are from the voters until after you get elected.
But it can only happen if we allow it to. So let us agree not to allow it.
And for those who caught the Rocky Horror Picture Show reference, take a jump of your own and get your reward.
The No Labels Lie Starts Today
The New Hampshire Sleeper Cell of No Labels woke up and puts it’s cloven hooves on the ground today, as did all the other franchises nationwide. The group, founded by a trio of democrat national political consultants, has had plenty of ink at GraniteGrok already (11/17/10 and 12/1/10) because it is imperative that we understand who they are and why they should be avoided.
