We learned that it took from 9am until 7pm, with an hour or so break for lunch, to get through 43 bills on the regular calendar, 2 off the consent calendar, plus 3 that were taken off the table, and 1 more that was reconsidered. It was a long day and I’ll try to review some highlights.

We learned that Senate and House Democrats are fixated on supplying menstrual products in every public bathroom at public expense—this time, they want it provided in state and county correctional facilities at taxpayer expense with SB209. A similar bill, HB421, has already passed in the House, which is now awaiting its fate in the Senate.

We learned that attendance is everything this term. You can’t win if you don’t have the numbers. All eyes are on the whip! We learned that the Speaker of the House voted more today than he did in total in the past 2 years! There’s probably a Speaker vote record being made!
So Kids, What Did We Learn From Wednesday’s House Session (03/16/22)?
We learned that between 9 am and 10:00 pm (lunch and dinner break included) we were able to vote on around 71 House bills, and pass some really great things for the people of NH. House members truly earned their princely sum of $200 just with this grueling day alone.

We learned that the “NH State House Traveling Band of Nomads” has finally come back to doing business at the State House in Representative’s Hall – and it was wonderful!

We learned that “State House South” (AKA Manchester Doubletree Expo Center) was this week’s House Chamber destination to accomplish the “work of the people.”
So Kids, What Did We Learn From Friday’s NH House Session (04/09/21)?
We learned that it took us a full day from 9:00 am to 6:30 pm to get through 33 House bills. All were recommended by their committee as Ought To Pass (OTP) by their respective committees, except for the last 3 bills that were recommended as Inexpedient To Legislate (ITL) by their respective committees.
So kids, what did we learn from Wednesday’s House Session (09/18/19)?
We learned that Veto Day can be a satisfying endeavor even for the Minority Party Republicans and that saving NH from radical legislation can be fun and rewarding.
