“What is the most important thing that GraniteGrok has brought to NH”?
So, at Groktober Fest held last October, I got Jeff Chidester, Carla Gericke, and Jim Kofalt to answer that question. I also added a couple more folks. Here is Mike Rogers’s answer to that question. In his typical British brevity, he got right to the point and gave a minimalist response:
At Groktober Fest (held last October), I had a bit of time to do a few micro-interviews, so our Master-of-Ceremonies, Jeff Chidester, just HAD to be one of them. As soon as he saw me stepping towards him, he knew he was nabbed!
As you folks already know or remember, last October, we had our first Groktoberfest for Conservatarian (Conservative & Libertarian) activists to do what political folks do – yak, eat, shoot some guns (‘natch – held at the Londonderry Fish and Game club), and listen to a few people tell us their stories…
A wee bit late in coming – yes! Last October, we had our first Groktoberfest. A time for Conservatarian (Conservative & Libertarian) activists to come together to yak, eat, and listen to a few people tell us their stories (and raise some money).
The site of this year’s Groktoberfest was the Londonderry Fish & Game Club, situated on the outskirts of suburban Litchfield, NH, located a few miles from Manchester. The surprisingly warm weather hosted a not surprisingly resolute group of faithful conservatives in the outdoor environs where the live free or die crowd was surrounded by a cavalcade of patriotism and purpose aimed at preserving America and its values.
We sold plenty of tickets. We had a lot of vendors. And the day was beautiful, hovering around 80 degrees with the occasional breeze. It didn’t go as planned, but it went well despite the last-minute “changes.”
Saturday, Oct 28, is shaping up to be a beautiful Fall day, with great weather, speakers, table vendors, food, free speech (a gun raffle), and conversation. All that’s missing, as they say, is you, and we’ve got some updates we hope will encourage you to join us.
I met a lot of people at the Leadership Summit who were planning to come to Groktoberfest but had not yet purchased tickets. As we near the event date, I’d like to remind you that there’s no discount for waiting, and we’d like to know how much fun we can expect to have with readers, fans, friends, and family.
We have an event coming up on October 28th, and there is some confusion I’d like to clear up. This is a ‘Grok event; the 603 Alliance is only helping plan and execute the Event. The Event’s sole purpose, besides fun, is to raise money to pay staff to run and grow GraniteGrok.com.
Another shameless plug for our upcoming fundraiser/event on October 28th at the Londonderry Fish and Game Club Pavillion. Nice facility. Plenty of room. And here we are, trying to make political events great again.
