Election Day Open Thread

Today’s the big day.  I voted around 8:30 AM.  Polling traffic was not steady–no lines to get the ballot but most of the voting booths were occupied. Tell us what’s happening at your polling place, give a shout out, guess the final spread on your candidates victory…whatever. It’s the November 2nd, 2010 Election day open … Read more

Stephen Surging

Late polling shows John Stephen closing the gap to the point that the race is now a toss up.  That means every vote counts.  Get out there and vote for John Stephen.  He is the only candidate who can win and advance our shared goals for liberty and a return to smaller government.

OFA – Sanctions Vote Stealing….Because NH Law Allows It.

Note to all Republican’s elected to the the next New Hampshire Legislature.  You need to tighten up voter registration laws. You must get rid of same day registration.  You need to limit voting privileges to actual residents.  There must be a requirement to demonstrate proof of ID and residency to vote.  And you must enforce … Read more

Ray Buckley And His Extremist Friends…

Vote For Jim Forsythe!Paid for by The New Hampshire Democratic State Committee and Ray Buckley, Chair, is an ad in the New Hampshire Sunday News.  Don’t feel bad if you missed it.  It’s an 1/8th of a page affair that  tries to scare people.  They, the democrats, have to resort to this because of the frightening reality that is their actual agenda, which people are preparing to reject in the mid terms.

The ad is directed at Jim Forsythe, candidate for State Senate.  It claims that Jim will Slash the minimum wage, take away women’s rights, eliminate social security, eliminate medicare and shut down public education, as if the democrats have not already corrupted these ideas or doomed these failed institutions already, and that a State Senator from New Hampshire, any state Senator, could actually do any of these things anyway.

Each of the five attacks come with a foot note directing you to one of two internet resources, the Republican Liberty Caucus Statement of Principles, or an interview in Fosters Daily Democrat.

NHDP Policy – “Can’t Win On Issues? Cheat!”

Maggie Hassan must be in danger, why else spend all that money on fake signs with the Republican opponents name on it linking them to higher taxes.  That’s what’s happening in State Senate District 23.  The Democrats, practically overnight, have peppered the district with "counterfeit signs" that look like the candidates signs, but with some … Read more

Guest Post – Leigh MacNeil

There are two clear choices on Tuesday. We can continue down a path of big government, higher taxes and less freedom, or we can demand from our legislators a limited government with less spending, lower taxes and more freedom.

More Gay Lobby Lunch Money For Lynch

Lynch has only raised 1.12 Million for the general election with his own loans. Take the loans out and he only has 350,000.00 from sources other than his own checkbook. Thirty five percent of whats left is from one special interest; gay marriage activists from Tim Gill’s Political Out Giving, the group he secretly slithered off to, to give a luncheon speech back in May.

They’d Be Representing You.

If you were playing a game of ‘Pick-up’ basketball, and the goal was actually to try and save the US constitution, and the only two players left to pick from were Ann McLane Kuster (McKluster), or Charlie Bass, who would you want on your team? I don’t live in CD-2 so I can’t make that … Read more

Is Carol Shea-Porter anti-millitary?

Carol Seiu-Porter’s energy policy agenda actually costs the US military billions of dollars more per year in increased fuel and energy costs. Stephen Hayward at the Weekly Standard estimated that every $10/barrel added to the price of oil costs the defense department (and you) one billion dollars more per year.

Urgent Message For Pro-Choice Voters

These words, URGENT MESSAGE FOR PRO CHOICE VOTERS, appear on the front of a letter from ‘New Hampshire for John Lynch 10.’  The letter, (scanned image available on the jump) is addressed to my wife, who is a registered Republican by the way.  It is both a declaration and an attack.

It declares the Lynch commitment to choice.

I am proudly pro choice.  As Governor, I have stood firmly in support of protecting the rights of women to make their own private medical decisions.  I repealed an unconstitutional law that put the reproductive health and safety of women at risk.

Interesting. Would those be 13 year old "women?"

It continues…

Hodespocrisy – Birds Of A Feather

Fifteen democrat Senators have written a letter to the FEC seeking to act on the possibility that multinationals are using their foreign dollars to affect US elections.  Ten of the fifteen have PAC’s that have donated to Paul ‘foreign money hypocrite’ Hodes.  All but one of the fifteen has taken money in 2010 from foreign multi-nationals including Senator Jeanne Shaheen, a co-signer and co-hypocrite who took at least 41,850.00 potentially foreign dollars in 2010 herself before signing the letter.

But that’s a hypocrite for a different election.  We’re here to remind you what a hypocrite Paul Hodes is.

A review of US Senators by CNBC identifies 86 who have received money from companies that fit the left wing narrative on those meddling foreign contributors, at least 27 of whom have PACS or committees that have shared money with Paul Hodes.  That’s on top of money he’s received directly from organizations or companies with a foreign presence.

And on the jump (or the CNBC link above) you can see all the foreign money the letter signers have roped in, just in 2010.

So I guess they’ll be giving it all back then?

Public Service Is About Trust

I’d just assume have a root canal without pain killer as suffer through an editorial by Carol Shea-Porter, but sometimes you have to take one for the team. So I have immersed myself in the last rights editorial of the soon to be former congresswoman from New Hampshire’s first district, which is ironically titled, ‘Public Service is about trust.’

Trust?

Before I proceed let me offer up a comment on Carol’s notion of trust.  In traditional progressive fashion the meaning of trust has had to have been tortured before admitting under duress and threat of death to its friends and family members, that Carol’s application of it’s meaning holds any relevance at all to the historical application.  In fact Carol’s willingness to even use the word in this context, nay–any context at all–in reference to what she refers to as her public service, is a public disservice to the word, the language, the people of the first district, and serves to cement the likelihood that she is the disconnected, ruling class political shill we suspect her to be, if not also clinically insane.

John Thune Takes It To The Hole

Watch and share.  Senator John Thune gives you all the reasons you need to avoid democrats this voting season. The Obama experiment has failed.

Jilted RINO Seeks Revenge

Longtime RINO and progressive sympathizer Cynthia Dokmo lost her primary.  She didn’t take it well.  Now she is pulling a Murkowski–sort of–waging a write in campaign to undo the injustice thrust upon her by primary voters. Certainly it must have been a mistake.  In all of her district there has to be one or two … Read more

A Picture is Worth…

I never did put this picture with my original post on it from Sunday morning.  (Post here). Picture below.

Carol Shea-Porter Isn’t In The Middle Class

Shea-Porter is RichCarol Shea-Porter is earning over 170,000.00 dollars per year as a member of the US House.  (That’s $120,000.00 more per year than the national average for the rest of us.) Her husband, whose income remains a mystery–perfectly legal as I understand it–has an extensive military background (for which he deserves our thanks) and appears to be employed by the government as well.  So it is safe to say that he’s making good money. In fact, odds are good he is making twice as much as his private sector counterpart.

Is he making $80,000.00 per year or more?  I bet he is.  And if he is, by the left wings definition, the Shea-Porters are rich, and therefore not eligible for the distinction of "being part of the middle class."  And until such time as we know for certain, it is safe to assume that every time someone in the Shea-Porter campaign claims she is just part of the middle class, including Carol, they are lying to you.

Did Ray ‘Fidel’ Buckley Blow It?

Just to make sure everyone knows that Ray Buckley had a hand in the creation of what appears to be one of the best Republican get out the vote and campaign motivators to come along in recent weeks, here’s his stamp of approval.  (We’re talking about the Extreme 16 Web site by the way)

Carol’s Dirty Foreign Money

Carol Seiu-Porter gets her share of funding from unions with an international presence, but a new group has risen abruptly to the top of her donor list and it’s not a Union.  J Street PAC, a self proclaimed pro-Israel group, has produced donors to Carol to the tune of $16,500.00, and endorsed her as well.

J Street is self-proclaimed for several reasons.  They show their "support" for Israel by fighting sanctions against Iran and Hamas.  Their idea of peace is to lobby against Isreal’s right to self defense when attacked; as in, firing back prevents peace, just sit there and take it.  And J Street has been heavily funded by the anti-Israeli Soros family fortune, and other generous foreign donors including prominent Arab’s, their representatives, attaches, consultants, and hangers-on.

They do have US donors, but the democrats have made it clear that this no longer matters, nor does any existing regulation to separate foreign and domestic donations.

Using their rules Carol just took another $16,000.00 in "foreign contributions" for her "local election."  Contributions from people who it can be argued, don’t care all that much for our ally Israel.

Some more links on the jump.
