Even If You Don’t Believe – Sharia Law Still Rules You According to Muslim Cleric

There was some concern in the Islamic world about selling food to Infidels during the daylight hours of Ramadan. Infidels are everyone who does not submit to the will of Allah, so almost everyone you know. The Cleric’s answer says a lot.

Clinton a “Finest” Secretary of State? Ridiculous!!

President Obama says Secretary Clinton has been one of our country’s finest Secretaries of State.  Huh??  Is the President now smoking something other than cigarettes?

Is the world safer, more peaceful, are threats reduced, is our country more respected around the world, are people more free than they were when Hillary took over as Secretary of State?  No, no, no, no and no!

The Middle East is in turmoil and the power of radical Muslims is increasing (with our help!!).  Non-aggressive governments in Egypt and Libya have been replaced, with Hillary’s and Obama’s help, with anti-American governments that want to destroy Israel.  The Obama administration armed al Queda affiliates in Libya and Syria.

Smart diplomacy yields results in Egypt…

..as street-fighting rages in Cairo and Morsi’s bid to become dictator meets resistance:

Mohamed Morsi Has Left The Building

Talk about overreach.  Less than two weeks after declaring himself king (even just interim king) protesters have stormed the Presidential palace (two words that should never be used in the same sentence to begin with) and forced Morsi to make a hasty retreat. No one knows where Morsi has fled, but opposition coalition spokesman Hussein … Read more

Egypt’s New Boss Same as the Old Boss…with a Side of Arab Winter?

Morsi declares himself new powers Eqyptians light stuff on fire to celebrateOn Thanksgiving the Muslim Brotherhoods Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi (Morsy) declared himself immune to judicial oversight (See also King, Dictator, Tyrant).  In the name of protecting the revolution no judge may overturn, edit, retract, modify, overrule, or otherwise act in any manner to alter any edict the new King of Egypt utters…until the (cough cough) people’s assembly has been elected and a new constitution has been written….

So none of that overturning executive orders nonsense, judges can’t stop them, and  any lawsuits directed at the folks at the top of the power pyramid are hereby vacated.

Some “animals” are again more equal than others.

WAR (Updated: Egypt calls for Arab response to attacks on Palestinians)

map-of-israel

(Updates are at the end of the original post)

Israel has had enough of the rocket attacks and has approved “Vigorous Action” against the Terrorist infrastructures in the Gaza strip.  They are calling up reserves, and will initiate a ground force invasion if necessary to stop the attacks on their population.  For the time being, air strikes and other surgical attacks will continue against targets in Gaza.

Simultaneously, the government of Israel is also prepared to Annex the West Bank if the Palestinian Authority (PA) continues to violate the Oslo accords by pursuing state hood through the UN without negotiating with Israel.

Administration Knew Embassies Were Targeted 48 Hours Before Mobs Hit Embassies And Said Nothing

It’s official.  The feckless reach of the Obama administration is not constrained by borders.  As reported in the “The Independent”, the State Department had information 48 hours before the liberty loving rabid, revenge filled mob encroached upon the embassies and murdered Ambassador Stevens and three others, but decided that news wasn’t worth dispensing to the … Read more

Just a Theory…

I think Iran and Egypt are co-coordinating a response to the impending Israeli attack on Iran’s nuclear capability.

The expectation is that Israel will do something before the November elections.  Egypt, which is now engaging in diplomatic exchanges with Iran, has recently moved more military hardware into the Sinai peninsula to deal with militants and security issues.  There are probably plenty of those, and by all accounts, Israel is not balking at allowing Egypt to deal with those (per long standing peace treaty agreements), but there is the matter of Egyptian tanks that were moved into the region, which Israeli officials claim they did not know about in advance.

Too much information: Multicultural News You May Not Want to Use

Ahem. This from MailOnline.com: It is reported that under the new Egyptian Parliament, “[H]usbands will soon be legally allowed to have sex with their dead wives – for up to six hours after their death. The controversial new law is part of a raft of measures being introduced by the Islamist-dominated parliament. It will also … Read more

Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg to Egyptions: Use a better Constitution than ours

I could not believe my ears and eyes when I watched this video of her giving advice to the Egyptians as their “Arab Spring” moment moves onward and they begin the process of creating a their new Mubarek-less State (will that be a great tradeoff for the US with the Muslim Brotherhood and Salafists controlling 75% of the new Parliament?  Does anyone disagree that the operative phrase is going to be “Shar’iah Law”?).  Given Bader Ginsburg’s status as one of THE defenders of the US Constitution, I could only shake my head. I expected more – much more.  Sure, if one is a law lecturer, a legal scholar (which the Justices are, no doubt), I would not have been as surprised (slightly annoyed, but not surprised).  But not only did I (and I would posit most Americans as well), expect her to be that scholar and more, and one that would have been championing the checks and balances, the simplicity of our Constitution.

From MEMRI, the short form:

Here is a longer version that was posted by the US Embassy in Cairo of the interview:
