Morning Update: Karl Marx on Skis

Today, on your Morning Update, we celebrate the 26th birthday of “your kids won’t know snow,” with some good news for snow and a reminder why it doesn’t matter how much or how little snow we get. This Climate thing has nothing to do with the weather.

I’m a bit sleepy and hoarse in this one. Long day yesterday, ending at the Gaslight in Portsmouth. I had a good time, but I sound a little rough.

Welcome to your June 8th, 2026 morning update. We missed it this year. I took a break from climate stuff for a bit, but I’ve sort of rebooted that, and I’ve kind of been overdoing it, maybe a little bit, the last couple of days. But the news has been interesting. Anyway, on March twentieth, 2020, the official permission structure and narrative came out to say, Hey, you know what? Your kids aren’t gonna know what snow is if you don’t do something about the climate.

The doing something was letting the government control your life and take your money. That’s what the government always wants to do, and it never accomplishes any of the things that it sets out to do. So this is no different, except this is probably one of the greatest grifts in human history. The trillions of dollars have been wasted on the idea. So to celebrate the twenty-sixth birthday of the “You Won’t Know Snow” narrative, I thought I’d share some news.

Over the winter, Ski New Hampshire’s resorts tallied 2,283,539 skier visits. Only three recent winters have surpassed that number. The snow conditions, documented and, quite frankly, obvious, factor in how many skiers show up at a resort each winter, were good in New Hampshire. Quote:

Early season snowfall and consistently favorable snowmaking temperatures in the northeast during peak snowmaking periods allowed New Hampshire ski areas to establish a deep, resilient base of snow that supported exceptional conditions throughout the winter. In fact, Black Mountain,

Went on a historic run, staying open later than it ever has until May 17th, outlasting resorts far beyond New Hampshire.

So it’s been a pretty good year. But of course, the “no snow” ski narrative has nothing to do with snow or skiing or even the climate. And why not just take this opportunity to remind everybody? Because we’ve cataloged some of this.

High-ranking members of the UN have been quoted as saying, “The goal of environmental activists is not to save the world from ecological calamity, but to destroy capitalism.

Sandy Cortez’s Nazi sympathizing former chief of staff said, “Do you guys think of it as a climate thing? Chakrabadi continued, because we really think of it as a how do you change the entire economy thing?

Dr. Otmar Endehofer from the IPCC Working Group.

We, UN IPCC, redistribute de facto the world’s wealth by climate policy. One has to free oneself from the illusion that international climate policy is environmental policy. This has almost nothing to do with environmental policy anymore.

Dr. Rajendra Pachauri, the former chairman of the IPCC, clearly spelled out that aim. Ms. Christiana Figueres, Executive Secretary of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change until last year, openly stated that it was not about climate, but that for the first time it gave them the tools to replace capitalism.

The leaders of Climate Strike. The manifesto is explicit.

That we should condemn corporations and embrace non-market approaches with a strong focus on the rights of women, youth, and indigenous peoples. Climate Strike says it’s about the planet. It’s not.

One of the founders of Extinction Rebellion, Stuart Basden, admits their movement is about ending white Eurocentrism and Western civilization.

So basically, if you didn’t know or you just wanted a reminder, climate change has nothing to do with the climate.

It is about advancing, establishing, and securing a permanent socialist system with the goal of communist Marxism. It doesn’t matter how much it snows.

That’s it for today. We’ll talk to you tomorrow.
