My “other job” made demands of me this week that made recording a new edition of GrokTALK! Impossible. My apologies for a week without new content. Thankfully, I can share past episodes from previous iterations.
I jumped into the Wayback Machine (there are more than 170+ episodes online to choose from) and pulled this segment out of the bucket.
Ed Naile (since passed) and Jim Rubens (different from the one we have today) join Skip, Mike, and me to discuss domicile, residency rules, and illegal voting in the Granite State (circa July 2013). You may not be surprised to learn that we still have the same (!$#@!!) problems nearly fifteen years after this episode, despite numerous new laws that claim to address it, like out-of-state students voting as if they lived here.
I’ve got two versions. One is the original live broadcast studio version (audio only). No background noise.
The second is the external camera backup. The white noise is the fans in the room, picked up by that camera. It was always hot as hell in that space during the summer! You can see us, but the audio isn’t as good.
If I ever have time, I could put together many hours of Ed’s wisdom from his many appearances in the program. No breath holding, please. Time is obviously at a premium these days, but it’s on the list.
