I Am Asking the Board of Aldermen to Veto the Collective Bargaining Agreement

I am asking the Board of Aldermen to veto the Collective Bargaining Agreement for the Board of Fire Commissioners of the City of Nashua for the sake of the Nashua taxpayers.

While many Nashua taxpayers have lost their jobs and others have taken a pay cut in order to survive the Corona Pandemic, Nashua taxpayers want to see their Aldermen put Nashua taxpayers first for once. I am specifically calling out Aldermen’ Kelly, Laws, Tenza, O’Brien, Dowd, Klee, and Garthright who have received contributions ranging from between $500 to $1,000 from the Firefighters unions for their campaigns.

Remember it is the Nashua taxpayers’ that have elected you and it is your job to fight for them and not the unions. Aldermen should only have allegiance to the Nashua taxpayer and not the unions.

I applauded Aldermen Jette for putting his constituents in front of any money that he has received from the unions and has previously vetoed this contract. A clear sign that Aldermen Jette is standing up for the people that voted for him.

It is time for our elected Aldermen to stand up for the Nashua taxpayer and veto this contract.

It is also shocking that the Mayor and Board of Aldermen would even consider giving an increase of 20% in 2021 and 15% in 2022 on the Sewer Use Fees for Nashua taxpayers.

I do not see how the mayor and the Board of Aldermen can put any more taxes on the backs of Nashua taxpayers.

I find it unbelievable that the mayor and the Board of Aldermen would hit the Nashua taxpayers while so many of them are already down. This increase should be vetoed tonight.

If the city cannot run the sewer department within their current budget, then maybe the Nashua taxpayer should get people who can.

Also, anyone who could blame the state for the loss of Financial Aid is not taking the responsibility because it is the City of Nashua and the Nashua Schools who have NOT OPENED. Therefore, parents have no choice but to pull their children out of public schools and put them in private schools.

This financial aid loss on their shoulders.
