Yesterday, a reader sent me a short email with a pair of pictures. Someone had posted a flyer on a phone pole on Middle Street in Claremont to recruit Communists. Their thinking was that the city likely had a few takes. I’d guess more than a few.
I took a digital trip to the website, and the Revolutionary Communists of America are remarkably open about their objectives.

The RCA is a party of class fighters committed to the overthrow of capitalism. We fight for a world of superabundance and reject the artificial scarcity of a system based on the pursuit of profits. We fight to establish a workers’ government to tackle the roots of war, inequality, oppression, and climate catastrophe.
Sadly, as the reader suggests, Claremont is fertile ground for that thinking (though it is not the only liberal ghetto in the Granite State). Pick a college town from Hanover to Plymouth, to Keene, and Durham. It makes you wonder how blue they’d be without the out-of-state college kids’ vote. Not so much, I’d guess, given how angry they get when you try to limit their “voting rights” to align with those of actual residents. We can, after all, only vote in one state, while they can pick between two.
GIOven the Left’s love of absentee and vote by mail it is hardly a hardship to expect a matriculating liberal moron to vote from the address on their college application. The one where the tuition bill goes.

What I found more interesting was that if you peruse the aforementioned website, you will find Democrat Party talking points up and down the home page. We could change all the red to blue and you’d hardly know the difference, except for the bit about openly hating capitalism. Closed communists operating under Democrat Party cover aren’t always ready to admit that the goal of their policies is that of the Marxist revolutionaries, but like the RCA, they are dishonest about the outcomes.
We know there is no utopia. The only superabundance is misery, tyranny, and oppression.
The day after the flyer hit the phone pole, someone removed it.
