A new report released by MassInc and UMass Donahue claims that over 480,000 Massachusetts residents, or 10% of the state’s workforce, are not proficient in English. Is that a sanctuary problem? Do you think it will stay in Massachusetts?
The problem comes directly from open borders and illegal immigration. The report states that 480,000 people (number) could be undercounted. The numbers came from the 2022 Census estimates. Massachusetts continues to lose taxpayers to states with lower taxes and cost of living.
Progressive leadership results in the coddling of those breaking the law, as well as over taxation and crushing regulations. Is that why people are fleeing Massachusetts?
Migrants have been coming to the US legally since the country was founded. Upon arrival, they usually set out to learn English on their own, without help from the federal government. Today, many illegal immigrants have no desire to learn English or assimilate.

Gov. Maura Healey is feeling the heat over illegal immigration. She has announced she would be implementing new restrictions, putting Massachusetts families first when it comes to services. What does that sound like?
Massachusetts has been flooded with illegal aliens. The cost of housing and feeding them is straining resources to the breaking point. Gov. Healey tries to pass the blame to Republicans when it squarely lies with sanctuary Massachusetts, President Biden, and his lack of border control.
Instead of demanding the president secure the border, leftist governors and mayors blame Republicans. They demand increasing amounts of federal funding to handle the problem but more government means less for “we the people.”
More illegals mean a bigger shortage of housing. More illegals mean more competition for disappearing, lower-paying jobs. More illegals mean higher taxes. Open borders mean more illegals, right Kamala?
