I am responsible for a flurry of recent content on wealth taxes. Rich Democrats like to play class warfare games, using emotion, envy, not of them, but of the other rich people.
It’s an easy move, though not typically as effective in America, but it has found more traction on the left thanks to years of Democratic policies that have widened the economic divide. By design, democratic socialism results in a two-class system. There is no naturally occurring middle class. It is replaced by the bureaucratic class. A political subdivision that exists to protect the ruling class, which is made up of wealthy politicians and oligarchs whose friends and family rise to replace them if they are obedient servants of the party.
We have seen several recent moves by Democratic socialists to impose or expand wealth taxes. From one-time charges (likely to repeat because Democrats never stop wasting other people’s money) to higher tax rates to exit taxes – a fine for trying to escape their legalized plunder of your wealth or assets.
Wealth creators are not just revenue streams for the government. They invest in local communities, charities, job creation (which is another way to help others generate wealth), and are the drivers of local and state economies. We know this to be true, that the government doesn’t do any of these things, because when they flee, all those things begin to collapse economically, including the government.
States or cities whose Democrats have made living there too toxic for anyone who can flee pretend that is not their fault and that these escapees owe them something before they leave. They don’t, but it is the psychology of this that is more instructive than the fleecing itself.
They’re saying you don’t have the right to leave, but at this point, we can’t stop you. That is the goal, and a majority of the people who bought into the politics of envy, who likely can’t afford to go anywhere, are left with the check they wrote meant for someone else to pay.
At some point, if you leave Democrats in control long enough, they will achieve a mass of force and power such that they can refuse to let you leave. The communists build walls, surveil everyone, jail any dissident or conscientious objectors, and seize their assets. It starts with anyone who has wealth or assets, and as they run out, they come for everyone else.
The system never ends any other way.
So, when Democrats say we think we’re entitled to one more tax on you before they leave, what they mean is we need to figure out how to force you to stay, but that still ends the same way. If you cannot expect to benefit from your own labor, and you can’t flee to greener pastures, there is no incentive to do more than the bare minimum.
The result is forced labor, managed by the regime’s police state, which has no shortage of recruits because it remains one of the few ways to get fed and housed.
It starts out as envy and the confiscation of resources and ends with no resources left to confiscate, only human action.
It doesn’t have to be that way, and at present, it isn’t. There are plenty of states to flee to whose governments want your skills and resources to help their citizens, not the government. Places with lower taxes, fewer regulations, and ironically less crime, better standards of living, and better health outcomes.
If you listen to Democrats, none of that should be possible without more taxes and bigger government, and yet we consistently find, across America, and around the world, that this is the formula for middle class prosperity and the best model for social and economic improvement.
The greatest single indicator of which way you are likely to go is which party consistently controls that government. Blue states are desperate, allow rampant fraud, and are more likely to be in social or economic decline. Republican states are headed in the opposite direction, have lower crime, more individual freedom, and are attracting the best, brightest, and wealthiest fleeing the blue states.
This is not an accident or a fluke, and it is true at every level of government, especially the federal government. If Democrats take control, they will look for a way, any way, even if it sounds absurd now, to ensure that there is no advantage to fleeing any state for any other. The decline with be nationwide, and there will be decline.
The wealthy will flee to other nations until the Government figures out how to stop them, and then the entire country will follow the planned decline we already see in Blue Cities and states.
It may not come for you today, but it will come for you or your children, which is why people trapped in these systems stop having them, and all you have to do to prevent that is to show up and vote Republican and then show up and make sure they don’t begin behaving like the political Left.
That’s entirely on you. If you don’t show up, you only hasten that decline.
The preventative is voting in every election and voting to prevent Democrats from advancing the natural decline inherent in their belief system. Right now, that means voting Republican, even if you have to hold your nose to do it.
If you don’t, human nature and entropy will claim your Constitutional Republic, and the longer you let that go on, the harder it will be to get it back.
As it happens, right at this moment, you have a Republican President who is trying to unshackle you from a government Democrats and some Republicans have built and protected for decades. The globalists are on their side, but Trump is working to free you from their corrosive influence as well. The war in Iran is actually a key that can open a lock that will improve your life measurably over time at home and abroad.
Everything Trump has done is directed at that goal, and everything Democrats are doing is meant to stop it so they can reverse it. Democrats don’t care about any short-term economic discomfort, but it plays well to the uninformed.
If you do not show up to our vote, the downward spiral takes hold. Democrats will not waste another chance, which means they can never again be allowed to get one. Instead to allowing them to fail America, Americans need to ensure the Democrat Party fails instead. And all you have to do is show up on election day. Every election day. And vote them out of office everywhere and anywhere you can.
And after that? Hold them accountable. Don’t let them behave like Democrats. And when they do, you find better ones to replace them at least until we have another viable party or candidates more focused on natural rights and Constitutional limitations of government.
