After years of necessarily making everything cost more, hating on fossil fuels, has the net-zero green agenda trap just caught the Left’s new “affordability” narrative mouse by the nose?
Always in motion is the future. Wise words from Yoda, but we could just as easily say, always emotion, is the future. It isn’t easy to see because, well, people. Human beings, in our case, especially as you pass center field and head left.
Some of it is clear ‘cuz people. We know why anarchy ends in oligarchic or tribal strongman mob rule. It explains the path of socialism, every time it’s tried. Maybe not the who or the when, but the end is as clear as if it were in front of our face. Been there, done that. But what about the environmental agenda? Net Zero. They hijacked the color green and then discovered Kermit was right. It’s not easy being green. You have to lie to yourself and to everyone else—a lot.

The ‘green’ wool is thick, and you have to keep pulling it back down.
You can’t build green infrastructure without coal to make steel, and the mining operations are brown to black. Fabrication requires fossil fuels because the electric future can’t do it. Most of the materials are manufacturing-intensive, require toxic processes, and produce equipment that leeches this into the environment you are claiming to save.
Offshoring it all so “western” elites and their acolytes don’t have to look at it creates serious national security concerns, and it doesn’t help indigenous peoples or their environment – and we’re all on the same globe. You can’t see it poisoning brown people, but that crap still ends up in our air and water.
Green has been the new brown for forty years, and the people who champion it just leapt before they looked.
The not-so-renewable future is exorbitantly more expensive. It makes everything cost more. A vast, costly, not-so-green mouse trap that just snapped on their affordability narrative.
Democrats have been making you pay more in energy costs, and they can’t run away from it, but blue state governors are attempting to spin it while they back away from their own agenda.
I guess the world being in alleged “danger” is less of a threat than their political futures.
Cracks are forming as states pivot from climate alarmism toward common sense.
Massachusetts, for example — long touted as a national “climate bellwether,” — is failing to follow its own emissions reporting deadlines and is tripping over the very climate rules it wrote, all while scrambling to contain rising energy costs.
Similarly, New York and New Jersey have done a climate about-face, as both states approved natural gas pipeline infrastructure and are reconsidering climate target deadlines.
Governor Newsom in California quietly reopened the door to oil and gas after years of championing himself as the foe of the fossil fuel industry, while Pennsylvania Governor Shapiro has also pulled out of a pending cap and trade program.
The about-face is a campaign scheme to make electricity prices an issue in the midterms. From state to federal races, the proglodytes are ranting about how unaffordable electricity is under Donald Trump. The problem is that it got that way because of them.

And that’s not going to be challenging to prove. You might only need a 30-second campaign commercial to do it. If you want to go 60, you can pin the price spikes on Dems and take credit for the solution.
Democrats campaigned on ending fossil fuels. That’s why prices are up. Republicans campaigned on tapping into our vast mineral reserves and rolling back Left-Wing regulatory rules that make everything cost more.
It isn’t even a complex case to make, so I’m curious why Democrats are yelling into microphones about a problem they not only created but bragged about for years.
And we are left to wonder if Republicans will pick up the challenge and show America not just how we got here, but how Democrats oppose the things that will make energy more affordable again?
