MACDONALD: The Affordability “Narrative”

The first Rule of Democrat narratives ought to be that whatever the ‘experts’ say about Trump, the opposite is likely True. The Second rule is that whatever Dems say in the first rule is a projection. Whatever misery they prognosticate is one of theirs and the result of careful planning. Once back in power, they will institute whatever is necessary to get from here to there.

One harrowing example, they said, Trump would start WWIII, but Biden’s Administration is the one that had us on the brink of nuclear war with Russia. All to protect their corrupt laundromat in Ukraine. There are scores of examples, of course, but this isn’t a history lesson. They were wrong about Tariffs, and that includes more than a few on the right who have recently helped carry the Democrat water—impatient souls who forgot that it is easy to break things and much harder to fix them.

I predict that the Democrats’ “affordability” narrative is going to have trouble finding a safe space in Trump’s very real and prosperous America. And not just because Democrats wouldn’t know affordability if it bit them in the ass. By 2026, Q1/Q2, many of the foundational pieces of Trump’s next booming American economy will yield significant results.

The stores are packed. People are out shopping. Consumer confidence appears high despite the polls and the doom and gloom about what is little more than leftist whining about Trump not making you fill the pockets of fat cats in the insurance industry in exchange for nothing. Sorry, not “nothing.” There’s that affordability narrative thing.

So, about that.

The economy is growing fast. The stock market is booming. Interest rates have plunged. The unemployment rate remains very low and few workers are being laid off. Consumers have not entered a holiday season with inflation running this low since before Joe Biden was president.

Not exactly faint praise, and economies have many moving parts. So many that we hold as a fundamental belief that only buyers and sellers can make it work. The more the state intervenes, the worse matters become. They are also fragile, like liberal women, prone to unpredictable lurches or outbursts, and you can’t just give them wine and a cat to cool them down. It makes you wonder what the left is planning to harpoon any sustained, systemic recovery from Biden’s sleepy economy. If Republicans hold the midterms or win seats, there’s no end to the potential for prosperity, and the Democrats can’t have that, and not just because they’ve no idea how to create or sustain it. This is about politics and power. Prosperous individuals who are not part of the progressive cabal are not good for that business. Bad for it, actually.

But nothing to date has worked. They even blew the shutdown they started, then had to end it because there was no path to victory. Before that was a long list of efforts centered on defending illegal alien criminals. Antifa shooting at ICE agents was a bad look—liberal teachers crapping on Charlie Kirk’s corpse. The illegal surrounded by burning cars in LA, waving a Mexican flag. Before that, we had Dem on Dem crime as catty proglodytes with no impulse control keyed Teslas likely owned by their ideological peers.

The left is a non-stop live broadcast of the world’s biggest shit show.

In the wake of the shutdown-Dems’ white flag-waving, a half-dozen Congressional Commies planted a seed that likely won’t bear much fruit unless we let it. That’s an important point I won’t get tired of making. You are the messenger to the political middle, and if you are sharing content from the bots and Dem plants (they weren’t just in the crowd on J6), and the America First haters around the globe pretending to be MAGA, you’ll be the one with the harpoon. The seed is the threat that any order could be determined to be illegal once Democrats take back power.

You wouldn’t want to be on our bad side, so stop helping ICE (or any other number of possible actions that intimidate).

Here’s a thought that applies to all the scenarios I’ve mentioned. Don’t let Democrats back in power. I know, it’s that simple, and yet easier said than done. The uninformed voter still votes, so you, yes you, and me, and the rest of us, need to focus on fixing what Dems broke, not on harping about why it’s taking so long. They broke it, and they’ll break it again because prosperity is the enemy of progressivism.

We will pay a huge price for our indifference.

Winning in 2024 was not a cue to hit the couch. It was the first score in a long game. We need to stay in the game for all four quarters. Let’s pretend that’s this administration and at least the next three. Trump already has the ESG freaks, the climate nuts, the Globalists, the EU, the UN, the WHO, the Dems, deep in their own territory.

Keep them there and score big in the midterms so we can get more done before the next quarter starts in 2028.

The Dems will not stop, so neither can we. And things are looking up. Let’s make sure people know it because the Handmaiden media is the voice of Team Doom.
