MACDONALD: The Left-Wing Anti-Democracy Problem Child

Regarding Proglodyte tantrums over federal agents enforcing federal law.

The fundamental principle that the Trump Administration MUST drive home is simple: the residents of Portland, Chicago, New York, California, Oregon, Washington, etc., DO NOT have “veto” power over the federal government’s enforcement of federal law.

The Congress of the United States has passed laws regarding immigration procedures, and how illegal aliens found in the United States are to be removed. The Congress has given near plenary power to the Executive branch in devising the policies and processes by which those responsibilities are to be performed.

When state and local governments interfere, you end up here — 10 U.S.C. Sec. 252:

Use of militia and armed forces to enforce Federal authority.

Whenever the President considers that unlawful obstructions, combinations, or assemblages, or rebellion against the authority of the United States, make it impracticable to enforce the laws of the United States in any State by the ordinary course of judicial proceedings, he may call into Federal service such of the militia of any State, and use such of the armed forces, as he considers necessary to enforce those laws or to suppress the rebellion.

If we follow the modern left-wing definition of ‘militia,’ which ought to apply to left-wing domains in particular, they think it means the National Guard. They can’t shut up about it. It is a foundation of their civilian disarmament rhetoric. And not to put too fine a point on it, but the word “national” is in the name; it is therefore a matter of law that the president can call up the National Guard to address issues of Federal law when laws passed by Congress are to be enforced, and the local elected officials (or others) obstruct the execution of the law.

Residents who object and are likely to have improperly used the word Democracy more than once should elect candidates who will try to make or change laws they don’t like anymore. Immigration laws that Democrats have loved long time, and on the record, whose past Presidents have rounded up and deported in greater numbers than Donald Trump.

It would require you to put the bricks down and step back from the Obama Shrine long enough to use democracy instead of political violence to make your case. At the state level, democracy determines who represents whom. In the case of Federal law, past or present members of Congress are elected by the people of the several states, while states elect the president by the votes of a majority of their residents. The president executes the laws Congress passes, including those passed by Democratic and Republican majorities. The Republic is meant to protect all of its citizens from enemies, foreign and domestic, including petulant partisan blue city mayors and querulous blue state governors.

Cities like Portland, Seattle, New York, Chicago, and LA are war zones made worse by the presence of foreign criminals and gangs. Is it lost on you that without them, the Feds would not likely have a reason to send “the militia” in to help quell the criminal unrest? Citizen crime is decidedly a local problem that might be aided with federal assistance. Still, by clinging bitterly to your foreign cartels and other alien criminals, you’ve no way to stop it.

Bask now in the warm glow of irony. You insisted the Feds had jurisdiction over immigration law when ignoring them worked to your party’s political advantage. It made matters worse, and you made excuses. We can’t do anything, you’d say, this falls under federal law.

Yes, it does.

And 10 U.S.C. Sec. 252 gives the president lawful authority to use federal assets, including the National Guard, to deal with any obstruction in the enforcement of Federal law, including you. A set of circumstances that the left wants in place. Needs in place. A Federalized Police State is the foundation of the government they intend for us, and your whining about kings is, as with almost everything else, nothing more than a progressive projection.
