BOWMAN: Let’s “Exalt” what Works, America!

Today is not a mystery but rather a continuation of the greed that captures the human heart.  Its latest alias, globalization, is today’s “must-have” need.  Its destructive quality, however, while masked by the terms of innovation and equality, is only a fancier brand of imagery that clouds our future destruction.

On a lesser scale, that destruction has been proven by its catchy phrases, ”one stop shopping” and “lower pricing.”

Those of a certain age are best positioned to understand this example, but the globalist transition is everyone’s current reality.  What might aid our understanding is that some things never change! Both yesterday’s and today’s “progress” campaigns were and are motivated by greed.  Yesterday is a beneficial teacher because it allows us to relate to what was and what is today.

Mom & pop stores were an easy walk in the neighborhood, as opposed to the alternative, which required transportation.  Still, it came to pass. The supermarkets drove them out while those “lower prices” lasted as long as it took for the public to transition.

Yes, the mom & pop store can still exist, based upon the loyalty of its customers, but supermarkets dominate with today’s dual-vehicle suburban “neighborhoods.” The local store didn’t need to snuff out another store since each served its own particular neighborhood! But where there is greed “it’s never enough.” Today, a mightier supermarket eliminates a lesser one, which also affects product pricing to the customer’s detriment, where the local market’s pricing didn’t so much depend upon the increase in the product’s demand.

Another lesson from back then is that once the public’s imagination is sparked, the circumstances of the day tend to fade.  The old theory, “look before you leap,” is valid for this giant globalized leap.  We certainly aren’t talking about groceries!  Today, it’s about the whole “ball of wax” of faith, freedom, family, and country!  And just as grocery shopping no longer features a short walk,  once this greedy global behemoth materializes, our individuality and freedoms will become a mom & pop type memory!

This giant leap to globalism is being fueled by many sources, which individually center upon the destruction of a designated victim.  Whether it be the above-mentioned, faith, family, our American heritage, our rich culture, or our individual societies, each has been subjected to denigration or assault.

This violence is a globalized preview of what awaits!

Once again, it’s the past that offers our weaponry and direction.  Benjamin Franklin remarked that America is a “Republic”…if you can keep it. The word “keep” denotes effort and loyalty. George Washington stated, “The name AMERICAN, which belongs to you…must always exalt the just pride of patriotism.” With such advice, is there any wonder why education is a target of the globalists?  And that assault is two-fold since it also extinguishes individual knowing!

The advice from our mom & pop was usually correct and as helpful as those local grocery stores.  Let’s “exalt” what works, America!
