The Department of Governmental Efficiency (D.O.G.E.) reminds me of an old song titled “Who Let the Dogs Out”. The miracle of Google allowed me to review the lyrics! While President Trump and Elon probably would not approve of the lyrics, ironically, the title foreshadows the amazing accomplishments that D.O.G.E. has brought to the USA. The weeping and gnashing of teeth by D.C. bureaucrats, the Demolitioncrats and the Republican Rhinos, publicized even by the mainstream media, reveals D.O.G.E. has bitten into a nest of Vipers. The American people suffered under their criminality. Let’s look at a few early D.O.G.E. accomplishments as reported by Breitbart and the Epoch Times:
- Located $1.9 billion misplaced (hidden) by Biden at the Department of Housing and Urban Development:
- Canceled $1 billion of diversity equity and inclusion related contracts.
- Canceled a $784 million contract to build a new embassy in South Sudan.
- The Treasury Department and the State Department respectively canceled all government money to the New York Times and the Associated Press.
- By executive order president Trump eliminated the penny and paper straws.
The total government savings, according to the Epoch Times, are more than $350 billion in their first three weeks of work. D.O.G.E. is proving a success beyond the wildest imaginations of President Trump or Elon Musk, not to mention the taxpayers who elected President Trump to tame the wild spending. Let us hope D.O.G.E. , President Trump and Elon continue to remove the scourge of the Washington D.C. venality and corruption. Let’s hope, as Ronald Reagan said, “that shining city on a hill” regains its former glory for the sake of our children and grandchildren.
