Another Second Amendment Happy Ending

And Some Lessons In FAFO

Nowadays, with over half of the US States (29, in fact) having Constitutional Carry with just shy of 500 MILLION firearms in their private possession, you’d think that even someone with a less-than-stellar belief that stealing is wrong would start to understand that the odds aren’t in their favor.

That those they are attempting to steal from or harm are most likely better shots than they are.

An alleged intruder was rushed to a hospital early Wednesday morning after being shot multiple times by a Fairfax, Virginia, homeowner.

WIJL reported the homeowner called 911 around 2:30 a.m. to tell police someone was allegedly trying to break into his home. As the homeowner remained on the phone, the alleged intruder continued to try to make entry.

FOX 5 DC noted that the homeowner “was still on the line when he opened fire.” shooting the alleged intruder and leaving him with life-threatening injuries. The alleged intruder was hospitalized in critical condition, according to WUSA9.

Police indicated the alleged intruder assaulted someone in a nearby house before trying to break into the home where he was finally shot.

Neither the homeowner nor anyone inside the residence was harmed.

A Good Guy with a Gun, when the police were minutes away. This leads to this next story under the philosophy that when the State (in this case, California) cannot protect them, Good Guys with Guns will protect their own and their stuff from those willing to put their lives in danger for ill-gotten gain.

Armed homeowners patrolling burnt-out LA neighborhoods in defiance of local officials: ‘Have no patience for any of them’

Armed residents of wildfire ravaged communities in Los Angeles county have reportedly taken to guarding their homes in defiance of government-mandated evacuation orders.

A contingent of homeowners in Altadena and the Pacific Palisades have been on a desperate neighborhood watch amid the ongoing blazes that have wrought destruction and resulted in looters attempting to take advantage of tragic circumstances, the Wall Street Journal reported.

Some of those residents patrolling their beleaguered streets are even toting firearms for fear of their safety and lawless looters.

I have no patience for any of them,” Ross Gerber, president of a wealth-management firm, reportedly said of the LAPD, which has set up a stringent border around fire-torn neighborhoods.

…“The whole neighborhood banded together,” he told the WSJ.

I’d do the same thing. A husband’s first duty is to protect their family. And in the case of the politics of the fires from Newsom down through the higher ranks of the LA City Administration, it has been a crapshoot with no one taking responsibility for the disastrous response (NOTE: I’m not talking about the rank and file police and fire!). Those “in charge” need to resign and resign pronto…

…but they won’t as “shame” seems to no longer an attribute that is current in Democrat politics (remember, CA is wholly owned by that Party and has been for decades). An honest, responsible person would fall on their [political] sword and acknowledge that they screwed up.

I’m not expecting to see that happen any time soon.

Thus, I’m not surprised when ordinary citizens, seeing that their politicos have failed them, are starting to rise up and take matters in their own hands. And NO, they aren’t going to care if these Failures for Governing start calling them “vigilantes” with the same feeling they call all conservatives “fascists”. They will continue to take care of their own and take care of business when it is needed.

I also think that, in the next election, there will be a rather large “Preference Cascade” when it comes to their typically solid Democrat votes. After all, what do they have to lose?

It is doubtful that Republicans would be making the same mistakes that would have them lose their houses AGAIN with the same miserable policies and Woke virtue-signaling.
