Sandy’s ‘Squad’ Loses Another “Appendage”

While the Democrat party continues its long, not-so-slow march to the Left, the not-so-rank and file are not so sure they like where the party is going. Two months ago, Democrat primary voters handed squadster Jamaal ‘False Alarm’ Bowman his walking papers and replaced him with a more moderate white guy who likes Israel (Jamaal was not a fan). This week, Cori Bush got the same treatment for mostly the same reasons.

For the left, radicals like Bush and the Squad are in the vanguard of history. She might be among the first, but the rest of us will inevitably follow. But her ouster — in part due to her staunch anti-Israel views — shows that history isn’t fate, and it certainly isn’t left-wing.

History isn’t continually marching towards the “victimized” Palestinians triumphing over their Israeli “oppressors.” People have their own views beyond what historical “forces” dictate. And whether it be in the Middle East or our own cultural revolution back home — it turns out, they don’t much like what the left has to say about progress.

I sense a theme here. Radical net-roots progressives who hate Israel are struggling to maintain their base, which is cute but hardly transformative. Replacing a radical for one who appears less so won’t result in change you can believe in. Sure, he’ll be more friendly to Jews (at least on paper), but all the crap that has been making most Americans miserable – many of them working-class Dems – will only get worse, and that’s not going to change until these safe Dem seats begin to appear less so.

And even then, a move away from destructive economic and environmental policies seems unlikely. There is too much money to be had, handled, and laundered between globalist banks, government grants, and connected deep-state friends and family to derail that train anytime soon. But derailing Bowman and Bush has to have the bartender from the Bronx wondering why she can’t seem to conquer Congress the way another Cortez ravaged the new world.
