Well, Country Singers, here’s a good way to have the IRS to come a’callin’

After all, Glenn at Instapundit is always reminding us what Obama does for his enemies:

In 2009, President Obama “Joked” About Auditing His Enemies.

I’m not a C&W kind of guy – in fact, not much into music any more at all.  But I was rather surprised at how few words could skewer so much.  Not only that, the crowd was eating it up…

…except from Taylor Swift.  Country singers tend to be a bit older and perhaps a bit wiser than the pop side of the music house – she has made it clear that she would not tell who she votes for but her facial expression conveyed a lot.

And of course, there is a large compilation of other country songs about Obamacare:

* I Walk the Lie
* Coward of the Country
* I Used To Be a Coal Miner’s Daughter, But Daddy’s Unemployed
* Don’t Let Your Babies Grow Up To Be Democrats
* Thank Allah I’m a Commie Boy

First for Ted Cruz, now for Mike Lee? How DARE those crowds react that way!

Another skirmish in the Establishment – grassroots Civil War.  I point out that while the DC Establishment is now out to crush those of us that pose a risk to their power, outside the beltway, those that are drawing their ire are hardly getting the cold shoulder from those that “brung them to the dance.”  First, Ted Cruz goes back to Texas and gets an 8 minute standing O from the Texas Federation of Republican Women.  Now, Mike Lee gets a 10 minute O from his Utah constituents:

How often, lately, have you seen this kind of reception for ANY Republican office holder?? It can be rather easy – but only if you have the guts.  He (and Cruz) ran on doing one singular job – fight like heck for Principles. His constituents sent him to do a job. Mike Lee and Ted Cruz kept their promises and did what they promised.  Their constituents have kept their promise to them – protect us, and we will protect you; “we’ll have your back”.  Above shows they are doing just that. Betcha NH’s Republican former Congressman Frank

Prager University – Is Evil Rational?

Prager University Today, it’s common to call acts of evil–whether of a criminal or of a tyrannical dictator–“irrational” or “mad.” Why? Sometimes, behaving cruelly is a matter of self-interest. What is truly unreasonable is to unnecessarily risk one’s life to save a stranger, like some non-Jews in Europe did during World War 2 when they … Read more

An object lesson that shows why the Federal Government should stay out of local affairs.

In the middle of August (yeah, I keep doing other things), I noticed that a whole bunch of new street signage started showing up in my small neighborhood in my tiny hamlet.  They were that bright bright new color mandated by the Federal Government – not just that “it’s a new sign” bright but bright enough that if you had your high beams on, the reflection “hurt”.  But that wasn’t really my bigger problem – take a listen:

So when I saw all these signs, I thought “What a waste of money – who authorized this stupidness”, so I called the Public Works Department.

Remember: Jeanne Shaheen FIRST destroyed the NH Healthcare Insurance Mkt with SB711

…before going down to DC to help Obama destroy it nationwide. She is all about others controlling your healthcare – first here in NH where her horrible SB711 hurt NH families by reducing competition here in NH from over two dozen providers to effectively two – and premium rates soared.  Then being one of the chief cheerleaders for Obamacare, we are now seeing what lies behind that kindly, grandmother visage – a willingness to hurt working families via much higher premiums and deductibles all in the name of a socialist healthcare system.  Yes, they talk about the War On Women – but this is the War on Everybody.  No longer is it a doctor and a patient – it is now Congress, the Obama Administration, and a huge bureaucracy (don’t forget the IRS!) that is writing rules on what a doctor can and cannot do.  And now, with the blowback winding up to hurricane strength, she’s had a change of heart.  First, though, watch her in action:

From Citizens For a Strong New Hampshire:

With the Obamacare “house of cards” collapsing, Sen. Jeanne Shaheen received much attention yesterday for “breaking ranks” with her fellow Democrats in distancing herself from her deciding vote for the law by calling on the Obama Administration to extend Obamacare’s open enrollment period amid continued frustration with the troubled HealthCare.gov website.

Palate Cleanser – I like doing this as well

Children’s temper tantrums. They’re a fact of life. But when one little girl was screaming and crying recently, rather than getting frustrated or yelling back, her father took a different route. Instead of rebuking his daughter, he decided to “lip sync” and act out her entire tantrum — and record it on video. A clip … Read more

First Annual Strong NH Conference: Jordon Sekulow of the ACLJ (Parts 2, 3, 4, and Q & A)

Continuing on, Jordon continued to talk about his organization’s work on behalf of Liberty and Freedom, especially in terms of the Obama Administration’s efforts to “bring the pain” in showing its disdain towards veterans (NH CongressCritters Carol Shea-Porter, Annie Kuster, and Jeanne Shaheen, if you remember, have continued to vote FOR his policies – FORWARD!):

First Annual Strong NH Conference: Howie Carr (Parts 1 & 2)

I have been a listener to talk radio for decades and I remember first listening to Howie Carr as one of the tax advocates “captains” with Barbara Anderson on the Jerry Williams show on WRKO and then again when he took over for Jerry a while later.  Being a long distance commuter for years, Howie was a constant drive-home companion: news, humor, great guests, wit – and an abiding disdain for politicians that worked for themselves, to obtain power, and to pass out patronage jobs.

He does not disappoint – on the radio or in person. Syndicated columnist, Hall of Fame talk show host, and New York Times best selling author – he’d quite the guy.  And he had quite the opinion of one NH based politician as well – but more on that in a bit.

“I was NOT expecting this”

Early in her term, we at GraniteGrok told Kelly Ayotte that she was exceeding our expections.  Then, however, it was clear that she had thrown in with both US Senators Maverick McCain and Lindsey Grahamnesty.  Then we heard about her embracing amnesty for illegal alients.  And then leading the lynch mob against the Republicans in the US Senate that were actually fighting on conservative terms.  People have been noticing.

Even Howie Carr had noticed the change in her and brought it up during his speech yesterday; he asked the crowd their opinion of Ayotte.  To tell you the truth, I was caught by surprise by the reaction to the question:

First Annual Strong NH Conference: Mike Biundo

The next speaker at the First Annual strong NH Conference was Mike Biundo.  As an activist, I’ve known Mike for a number of years and have always seen him as a gentleman.  While we disagree on a few issues, we have also joined forces on more than one ocassion in defending and advocating for Liberty and Freedom, for a more limited government.  After working on the Rick Santorum and Romney campaigns, he started RightOn Strategies (along with Derek Dufresne and Kory Wood).

Here, he talks about time to get even more active – and get your friends and neighbors involved too!  We have the ability, in NH, to make a difference.  Join us – we are NH based and we live here – all the time.
