Dear Editors:
I need to report and apologize for an error (misinformation) in my last LTE in the Sentinel, Nov 22, and which similarly was published in two articles in GraniteGrok Sept 26, Nov 12.
[Update] The Concord event has been postponed, and everyone will be coming together for the Manchester event only.
Dear Speaker Packard,
You are quoted in NH Journal as saying the following: “With hospitalizations at record levels and community transmission still high, the responsible thing to do is to maintain health and safety protocols for our legislators and hold off on returning to the House chamber, at least for now.”
Notice the hypocrisy from the following establishment elite: Messner, “the GOP must rally around its candidates.” The NHGOP Chair Stephen Stepanek “I understand there are a number of qualified possible candidates mulling over a potential run, and at the end of the day, we will be offering assistance to any and all candidates who announce they’ll be running.”
Maine has a public health crisis. Well, it’s a health care worker crisis. A Public-private partnership crisis? Elected officials did nothing to protect unvaccinated health care workers from vaccine discrimination by employers, and now there is a shortage. The governor has ordered the National Guard up to help.
The Fox News Christmas Tree was set afire early this morning. The blaze was spectacular. My response has been distressing and demoralizing. Where is my beloved country going? A Christmas Tree? An honored tradition? A symbol of love and redemption? Have we no soul left? What could the motive possibly be? Maybe it was meant … Read more
I apologize for the late notice, but I just received this. The Nashua Board of Health is meeting today at 12:30 ET (Zoom Meeting enabled) to discuss a list of issues, including a reinstatement of the city-wide mask mandate.
The latest coordinated hit piece against Tucker Carlson, from a combination of self-serving individuals and the usual corporate media outlets, is nothing short of desperately sniffing parmesan cheese to get the next news cycle high.
What is it with this Administration, whose every program and action seems well planned to create failure and disaster?
I’ve been waking up mornings, checking the temperature out on the porch and it’s typically below freezing since it is December. Then I turn the thermostat up a couple of degrees and get on with the day. Betting most of the rest of the people of this nation above the Mason Dixon are pretty much doing the same.
The oft-overlooked reality of the economies of the Western liberal democracies in the USA and EU is that professional sports leagues are some of the most capitalist and profitable systems on the planet.
Are you ready for a 37% increase in your county property taxes? Belknap County Commissioners Peter Spanos, Hunter Taylor and Glen Waring have proposed a budget for county operations for next year that would raise taxes by 37%. No, that is not a typo.
Poor, poor Darrell Brooks Jr. is still sitting in jail but complaining he is being demonized and dehumanized by authorities. Not even his Mommy has come to visit him in jail (Even so Mom blames the Criminal Justice System for failing her son.)
“Goober for Gubnor” Jon Mogan wrote a blushing endorsement of Joe Biden’s infrastructure bill in a local paper. Us: Exactly whose view are you denoting? Biden’s fictitious 81 million voters?
I encourage vaccination. The Wuhan virus, however, continues to be used as a political weapon and as a means of inflicting a form of Socialist/Marxist control over our citizens while the constitution and individual rights are ignored.
My, oh my, who’d-a thought in these days of BLM and Antifa that NH’s own Jeanne Shaheen, thriving attorney Bill Shaheen’s famous spouse, would raise a fist, a la the disgraced former Winter Soldier John Kerry and his now infamous Ghengis Khan speech and his invocation of arms and legs and of heads held aloft, and she’d shout “Revolution!”
If you’re concerned about the decline in academic standards, the harm done by shutdowns and mandatory masking, and the politicization of our public schools, please consider running for School Board in your district.
We saw this sort of bullying early on in the political pandemic. Bureaucrats and politicians were coming between you and your doctor—executive orders and rulings from boards threatening licenses to practice. Maine is doing it again, and at least one physician is pushing back.
When most people think about the relative amount of freedom they are permitted in the different states, they will focus on one or two policy areas. Debates over which state is the “most free” devolve into an argument where one person is primarily considering sales tax, another might be relying on differences in gun laws, and a third is thinking only about victimless crimes.
Nashua residents did not realize how they were going to be taken to the cleaners on this Performing Arts Center. Aldermen Dowd stated in 2017 that he did not care how much it cost but that he wanted the PAC no matter what. Well, this administration has really given it to the Nashua taxpayers. First, … Read more
