Silencing the Public at the Nashua Budget Meetings – Right To Know
The City of Nashua has just begun the Budget Review Committee meeting for the 2023 budget. The City will hold 6-7 budget meetings over the next month. Per the City’s NRO 5-14, any committee of the Board shall have public comment at the beginning and the end of the meeting. Alderman Dowd, a seasoned politician, chairs this board. This year, Alderman Richard Dowd decided to cancel public comment and change the name of the meeting to a “working session”. Nowhere is “working session” defined in the charter, NRO’s or policy.

The Democrats were apoplectic for four years every time President Trump spoke or tweeted an off-color description of an adversary. Sleepy Joe, Pocahontas, and Crooked Hillary were some that hit the mark and set the media world on fire. The Left claimed this language was below the status of President and was one of the reasons they urged you to vote for Joe Biden. Uncle Joe would bring civility and harmony back to a White House plagued by the evil Orange Man. The hair sniffing look at the hair on my legs in the pool man from Delaware would bring class and decorum back to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. Like a cheap used car salesman, they lied.

Just as the Dems are using various measures to make sure crime pays, they are also thinking of ways to make people “comfortable” being poor. They need to, because poverty is the lifeblood of the Democrat Party. Without high levels of poverty, the Democrat Party would wither away. This is why they implement policies that guarantee poverty will be sustained at a high level, and then offering “free” poverty-related benefits to ensure the votes will keep rolling in.
