Democrat Deficit Deficit Disorder

How many times have you heard people say, "Well the state can’t print its own money?"  Well J-Lynch and the democrats have found a suitable equivalent; just pretend it’s there anyway and call it even. But it’s not enough to just pretend you balanced the budget, you have to follow it up with a cover story and … Read more

Where America Stands on Obama….

Obama’s approval numbers have been on a continuous slide as he and the Democrats attempt to remake America into a socialist country (like the dying welfare states of western Europe). He last saw a 50% approval rating on January 7, 2010. The numbers have been below that ever since. Now we have a state breakdown … Read more

Behind The Curtain

No, we are not surprised to hear that a cabal of media elites (defenders of the ruling class) has been working to co-opt the message and suppress public discourse they do not approve of.   From The Daily Caller Watching this all at home were members of Journolist, a listserv comprised of several hundred liberal … Read more

What John Lynch IS Good At

John LynchWilliam F. Klessons has stretched credibility to the breaking point. Who is Klessons you ask? He is Salem’s self-styled print equivalent of Keith Olbermann. A Kool-Aid stained liberal apologist and basher of all things to the right of Mussolini in the pages of the Salem Patriot, and the Observer.

Klessons came to my attention when someone sent me a copy of his most recent piece of fiction. In it he proclaims the greatness of Governor Lynch. While everyone is entitled to their opinion Klessons justifies this because of some budget surplus he has imagined, and then lauds the little governor for his business acumen as the catalyst for all the good in the Granite State. Not to knock you off your dung wagon Bill but having no state or income tax is why we are better off than most states and Lynch and the democrats did their best to screw the state up despite that.

What Do You Mean “It’s A Tax?”

I’ve lost track. Is this health care lie number 76 or 176? And how do the boobs at Boo Hoo Hamphsire feel now that the individual mandate rules and fines written into the Health Care bill are being defended by their glorious leader and his Depatment of Injustice as not just a tax, but a … Read more

No, not my latest essay.  I’m not that arrogant.  I’m referring to (This!) by Angelo M. Codevilla at the American Spectator.  Every one should read it.  Everyone.   Here’s the opening and I will leave you to trust me or not. As over-leveraged investment houses began to fail in September 2008, the leaders of the Republican … Read more

TEA Party – co-opting by The Republican Establishment – or by those seeking its coattails?

"In this, we do not compromise."

Gadsden Flag

Fights aplenty this political year – and not just between the Republicans and Democrats.  Simply put, this is shaping up between the Political Class (those that are in high positions within Party or Governmental structures) and those that are governed.  Waking up this morning, this was not a pleasant reminder that there are those that put the Constitution first, and then there are those that put themselves and their position/power first

Any possible shred of doubt remaining in anybody’s mind about former Senate GOP leader Trent Lott’s true allegiance have now been definitively removed: Lott is a paid tool of the Washington Establishment who hates the Tea Party and all other insurgents who have had it with politics-as-usual.

"We don’t need a lot of Jim DeMint disciples. As soon as they get here, we need to co-opt them," Lott told The Washington Post in an incredibly revealing story.

Well, he certainly is confident, isn’t he?  Honest, too – I’ll give him that  He knows that he’s basically unelectable in the future but is making his $$ as a lobbyist.  Like many, he’s taken the attitude of "hey, the TEA Party is just a fad…and we’ll be here afterwards".  Certainly,like many, I thought he got a bum’s rush by the hyper-Politically Castraters (even as they protected their own KKK leader, the newly departed Robert Byrd) when he tried to say nice things about Strom Thurmond on his birthday.  However, given the above, I’m over it.  Good and over it.  It rather shows that he and his type are betting that their perches are on solid ground – but is there an incipient earthquake already starting to tremble under their feet?

Sen. Jim DeMint, of course, is the South Carolina conservative Republican who last year formed the Senate Conservatives Fund to back precisely the kind of insurgent conservative Senate candidates most feared by the Lotts of the world.

Lott’s quote points to the all-too-familiar GOP-losers mentality that GOP officials can just go on as they did in the years before they lost their congressional majorities in the Senate and House, talking the talk of limited government but not doing anything concrete or permanent to make it a reality.

They live in denial – they believe that they can outrun what may be heading towards them, which is EXACTLY what polls are saying – they want limited government, limited spending, limited taxation, and limited intrusions into their business and personal lives. Yet, Lott and his ilk are laughing at it.

In New Hamsphire, if you videotape a police officer…

…you may be arrested. And they may prosecute you. And you may go to prison. Think it can’t happen? It’s happening all over the U.S. And New Hampshire has a law similar to the one that a motorcyclist is facing in Maryland. He’s facing 16 years in prison. Here’s the story, and there’s the video … Read more

Shea-Porter’s Money “Don’t know were it came from.”

Carol's LaundryMoney laundering is illegal unless you are in congress. Once you are a member in good standing you earn the privelege of access to a hoard of cash accumulated by the hundreds and hundreds of congressional PAC’s fed by those buying influence. It is money that comes from lobbyists, special interests, the corporate culture of business big and small, unions, fringe groups, mainstream special interests, and everyone else. Carol Shea Porter is a willing recipient of hundreds of thousands of dollars over her congressional career from this polluted well, but she would like very badly for to believe that "the money don’t know where it came from."

"The money don’t know" meme is the standard dodge reported ad nuaseum on television and in movies whenever one of our imperfect heroes discovers some stash of drug cash. It’s tainted money, accumulated by thugs and murderers on the lives, weakness, and addictions of others, (just like congress) but as the story goes…it’s ok to take it because the money don’t know where it came from. The heroes resist temptation. Shea Porter is no such hero.

From this mornings Nashua Telegraph, Kevin Landrigan quotes Sheep-Porter’s campaign manager Angela Ruslander as she justifies the paltry 200K in fundraising last quarter.

""Since Carol’s winning campaign in 2006 she has never accepted contributions from D.C. Lobbyists or business PAC’s,…Instead, Carol has always relied on a strong grassroots network. This support ensures that Carol can continue to stand up for Granite State veterans, soldiers, seniors, and middle class families."

Bwahahahahaha! Angela how the hell do you sleep at night?

Ever wonder where this stuff comes from? Here’s the answer.

Have you ever seen the emails being passed around the Internet that seek to demean Wal-Mart and the people who shop there? The ones with the pictures of ugly people supposedly shopping at Wal-Mart? Here’s the start of one I just received from a friend:

"Yes, it’s time for more Walmart Pictures…..brace yourselves!!!"

Here’s the first picture that accompanies the email.

The caption at the bottom of the picture says "Well, it is summer now, which means that we all get to witness more gems like this one."

Notice the "unhappy face" at the lower right of the picture, where it says "People of Walmart"? Why in the world would anyone want to take the time and effort to do this sort of thing? Here’s the second picture of a purported "Wal-Mart shopper" that came with my friend’s email, with the caption below it:

Caption: "Why do I have a feeling Jim Henson is behind her……working her arms?"

These emails seem to have come out of nowhere, and are purportedly "humorous." But of course they are not. There’s much more than that behind them, and a very interesting explanation of the phenomenon. I explain below, and it has nothing to do with "humor."

Hodes + BP + Lobbyist + Rhetoric

Hey That's My SubsidyNo one doubts that BP has a responsibility to clean up after themselves but Paul Hodes has taken the opportunity to play word games and politics. Yesterday he announced that because of BP’s complicity in the release of the Lockerbie Bomber they are no longer entitled to the tax cuts the government gives them out of the goodness of its frozen black little heart. Hodes calls them ‘Tax subsidies. ‘

That is lib-speak for money you legally earned that the government lets you keep. Imagine a mugger leaving you a twenty for cab fare after he takes everything esle including your car keys. That twenty is a subsidy provided by the mugger to you. Hodes is the mugger and he has decided that BP is not entitled to the money it legally earns–and likely needs to stay solvent to help pay for that mess down in the gulf.

Latest Straw Poll results are in…

The Rockingham County GOP "Meet the Candidates" Picnic and Straw Poll was held today in Brentwood, with some surprising, and not so surprising results… The thing to consider is that this was a County GOP-sponsored event, which brings out the party-oriented community, not just the hardcore activists that we saw at the CNHT picnic.  I’m … Read more

Carol on…Financial Reform

Carol thinks she’s done you a great service by supporting the Wall street Reform legislation.  She’s clearly not read it.  Here’s what she want’s you to think.

• Create a new Consumer Financial Protection Agency that will ensure that bank loans, mortgages, and credit cards are fair, affordable, understandable, and transparent;

• End abusive predatory lending practices such as Help!those that occurred during the sub prime lending frenzy;

• Shut down “too big to fail” financial firms before their risky and irresponsible behavior threatens to bring down the entire economy;

• End costly taxpayer bailouts with new procedures to unwind the failing companies that pose the greatest risk – paid for by the financial industry and not the taxpayers;

• Enhance oversight and transparency for credit-rating agencies;

• Rein in egregious executive compensation;

• Enact new protections for grocers, retailers, and other small businesses facing excessive swipe fees; and

• Audit the Federal Reserve’s emergency lending programs used during the financial crisis and limit the Fed’s emergency lending authority.

That’s what Carol thinks it does.  But what does it actually do….

Carol-(S)Care

Carol-Care Meets RealityIndependent voices might have some expectation of doing independent things.  Things like reading legislation or accessing resources outside the ones the people desperately selling a bill want you to stick to.  That kind of open mindedness would go a long way to demonstrating integrity and responsibility.  Or you could be Carol Shea Porter.

Carol sold Health Care reform as instructed.  She shifted gears as instructed, spun when asked, and followed the talking points all the way to the bitter end like a clumsy dancer following on the fly choreography.

But now that the reality of what she has done is upon us, it sure would have been nice to have an independent voice instead Carol Shea-Porter.

Spin From The House Of Hodes

Good Day Eh!The Hodes camp is trying to adjust their slightly twisted britches after a fund raising trip to the great white north eh. (Ok. This is like, me outside the country eh?) In defense of the move campaign spokesman Matt House said, (From WMUR.com)

At the end of the day, we are going to have the resources we need to win this campaign,” said campaign spokesman Matt House. “Paul has a record of standing up against the special interests.

And..

We are very excited about the momentum we are gaining in New Hampshire, and these political attacks are going to be what they are going to be[.]

Well, I’m glad you are excited Matt but momentum in New Hampshire?  Anyone smart enough to put on their thinking touke, and dexterous enough to use a computer mouse can reveal the truth for themselves.  Rasmussen just announced that Hodes is now trailing four Republican opponents, and every time I look, Mr. Hodes campaign career shows him getting over 70% of his campaign funds from outside New Hampshire. (66% so far this cycle).  Bankers and lawyers (and left wing congressional PAC’s – Oh my!) outside New Hampshire are excited Matt, but that’s about it. So no one doubt’s you will have the resources.

CSP Rewind – Foreign Trade

Heartless, Callous Train Wreck Picture
Carol’s Driving….

Carol Shea Porter (CSP) continues to demonstrate her inability to grasp even the most basic concepts of governance.  Back in May of 2009 she issued a press release promoting her signing on to a letter suggesting that the Panama Trade Promotion Agreement, (TPA) also called the Panama Free trade agreement (FTA), would in essence cost American Jobs. To Quote the congresswoman…

“”I don’t want to have to vote for unemployment benefits. I want to vote for jobs.””

And to quote from the body of the letter she signed on to…

“”This disconnect between the Panama FTA and the current needs to restore our economy will make any vote on this FTA difficult to justify. Indeed, it appears to be the opposite of the “change” theme Americans voted for in the last two elections.””

Unfortunately for Carol, the real disconnect is between what Big Labor Lobbying groups (her number one campaign donors) have told her change means, and the reality of the Panama TPA’s impact on trade and jobs in the US.  But if Carol wants to dip her big toe in the waters of the international trade pool with blinders on, let me be the first to show you how she’s all wet.

Pests A Side

Suzanne Smith - Kill's Bug Killer DeadSuzanne Smith, (D-Hebron) wants the state government to regulate the use of weed and insect control products to limit what she calls cosmetic use. That’s the regular everyday kind, used in ordinary everyday ways. She claims that her focus is on places where children congregate like schools, playgrounds, day care centers, and that spraying for things like clover or dandelions (as examples) would not meet a need like might be the case with say stinging insects or poison ivy.  So she set up a study commission which has studied–under HB 1456–with the intention of writing a bill for the next session.  So Suzanne Smith would like the state to be be the final arbiter of all things lawn and bug care.

Is this really a role we want them to take?
