Liberals Buzz Over Take Down Of Obama

White Tower Liberal take down of obamaByron York in, Liberals Buzz over brutal take down of Obama, shares with us the thoughts of uber liberal (and very disappointed) professor, Drew Westen:

Perhaps Obama "is simply not up to the task" of being president.  Perhaps the Democrats who were so dazzled by his campaign speeches should have noticed "some disquieting aspects of his biography."  Among those disquieting aspects: "that he had accomplished very little before he ran for president, having never run a business or a state; that he had a singularly unremarkable career as a law professor, publishing nothing in 12 years at the University of Chicago other than an autobiography; and that, before joining the United States Senate, he had voted ‘present’ (instead of ‘yea’ or ‘nay’) 130 times, sometimes dodging difficult issues."

This is posted in the Washington Examiner, where this psychology professors disagreements with Obama are not just grist for the right wing blogosphere.  When you read it you get a frightening reminder of how the institutional elites on the left think.

But instead of keeping Republicans under his heel, Obama negotiated with them.  The "truly decisive move" that showed Obama to be a failure, Westen writes, was the president’s decision to settle for an $800 billion economic stimulus bill that was far smaller than many liberals wanted.  Accepting a "half stimulus" instead of pushing for an even larger FDR-like program was a dismaying sign of "the tic-like gestures of compromise that have become the hallmark of [Obama’s] presidency."

This is supposed to be a smart guy.  Has he forgotten that during the stimulus debate Obama had a virtual mandate from his political capital and momentum alone and a legislature completely controlled by his party?  The were no Republicans to keep on any length leash. And compromise? There was none. The democrats won. Obama Won. He said it himself. It was a party talking point.   Yet this whit tower socialsit still insists the left (and Obama) failed to keep Republicans under heel and that this is a significant part of Obama’s failure? He is a failure–He really cannot lead. But Republicans have nothing to do with that. That would be the democrats who are to balme. Not that any of you would come out of the Kool Aid long enough to realize.

THE SILENCE OF VICTIM ADVOCACY

“The trust of the innocent is the liar’s most useful tool.” ~Stephen King, American Writer

FALSE-RAPE-CLAIMS-DONT-MATTER-BECAUSE-REAL-RAPE-OCCURS.jpg

Former Keene, NH resident 38-year-old Kerry Touzin walks free today. She walks free despite having falsely accused another of rape.  Police agencies from Vermont, Massachusetts and New Hampshire spent more than 150 hours investigating and arresting the person she accused of rape. While in custody, the man fully cooperated with police. Charges were dropped against the man and Touzin was charged, according the the Keene Sentinel
and Union Leader.

Kerry Touzin got off light. She was sentenced to 360 days in Jail, having served 60 and the 300 remaining were suspended upon good behavior. We should not be surprised. Keen is one of those bastions of liberalism where, despite Touzin’s reprehensible act that nearly cost another his freedom, she is still treated as a victim.

Aside from professional athletes, we are seeing more frequent media accounts of false allegations of domestic violence and rape. We have finally arrived at a place in society where we are acknowledging that perhaps there are some among us who see such allegations as a means to exert power over others.

Guest Post by Chris Buck on behalf of Congressman Thaddeus McCotter

Let our government leaders debate

By Chris Buck, Esq.
NH Campaign Director
McCotter 2012

U.S. Representative Thad McCotter may be a name you don’t know very well, and part of the reason is because of the sort of media bias recently displayed by Fox News. A recent article on the economic crisis suggested that Wall Street credit rating agencies relish exercising their power to tinker with the U.S. economy, because of the influence it gives them over the political process. Think about it – the entire U.S. Congress, the President, every television station and newspaper have been unable to talk about anything other than the U.S. economy and the government’s response over the last two weeks. And the major issue has never been about default – we were never in any real danger of a bona fide default – it  was about whether these Wall Street agencies have faith in the U.S. government. I’d say that’s exerting a fair amount of influence over the political process.

In much the same way, “big media,” as we might call it, has figured out that it can exert a significant amount of influence over the most significant political contest in our country, the race for the Presidency. This is not a new phenomenon. Ron Paul was excluded from a debate in his previous run for President, Gary Johnson was excluded from the last CNN debate in New Hampshire, and now U.S. Rep. Thad McCotter may be excluded from the Iowa GOP/Fox News debate, where he appears on the Ames Straw Poll ballot, and spent $18,000 for his inclusion in both the debate and straw poll.

These Presidential candidates don’t ever seem to get the benefit of common sense either. Ron Paul and Thad McCotter are both…

Where is the outrage?

You know, we’ve been warned several times by China that we had to get our financial house in order over the last year or so as the Obama Administration (and prior Administrations) have spent, spent some more, and then spent us almost into default.

Sidebar: I just shook my head when I saw this post title at JammieWearingFool: "Irony Meter Explodes: Geithner Says European Nations Must Get ‘Fiscal House’ in Order."  Kettle, pot, hole in each

Even a Communist country does not want to waste its money, and certainly they have a lot of theirs invested in a lot of ours.  The update from China’s official Xinhau news agency agency on Saturday released this statement about the credit downgrade:

"The U.S. government has to come to terms with the painful fact that the good old days when it could just borrow its way out of messes of its own making are finally gone."

I’m of the age where much of my life was spent pre-1989, the year that the Wall was brought down in Germany, signaling the end of the Cold War.  We spent decades and trillions of dollars fighting Communism; now, our political leaders have to be lectured by more Communists on how to be a good capitalist Government?  How utterly humiliating is it to be scolded over our lack of fiscal discipline by Communist China.

This is a great reason why we need to bring something back to society for other than for use for Lefty Political Correctness:

Obama Makes The Same Face In Every Pic

Here is a nice little palate cleanser from Break.com. You needed a break, yes? It is called Obama makes the same face in every pic. It is strangely amusing. Let me set it up for you. It is a video of successive still shots and Obama makes the same face in every pic.

Rich Man Poor Man

If you are on the verge of being defined as low income in American, or maybe you are at or blow the “poverty line,”, you have a good deal to be thankful for. For example, you probably live in a larger home than most Europeans. There are appliances, televisions, maybe a car or two out front. In fact, you have things every American had just a few years before you.

Revoke Non-Profit Status?

In 2010 the NHCA’s PAC, New Hampshire Citizens Alliance for Action, spent all it’s over $15,000.00 in PAC money to re-elect Carol Shea-Porter.

Ya think, maybe, they shoulda said this, like, in an American city?

Seattle PI: ABA debates birthright US citizenship TORONTO (AP) — The American Bar Association will vote next week on a resolution urging the U.S. Congress to reject any changes to the Constitution that would eliminate the automatic grant of citizenship to anyone born in the United States.
