The Lord Helps Those Who Help Themselves…..to other people’s money under threat of fines or imprisonment? Not likely.
But that is apparently the lesson to be learned after vandals aligned with the Party of Civility® (that’s sarcasm people) wrote a message on the side of the NH-GOP Headquarters in Concord, shown Below.
WWJD usually means What Would Jesus Do? I’m happy to take suggestions but I think, in this context, it means “We Will Just Destroy…Healthcare for Everyone.”
Honestly. If I didn’t blog I wouldn’t have even noticed. It has had no affect on my life at all. None. I’m not the only one.
Once again, running behind! This Sunday’s Meet The Press had this gaffe (accidentally telling the truth) said by Senator Dick Durban (Progressive -Il):
“…for goodness sake, we have a tax code that takes out $1.3 Trillion out
of the economy, out of the Treasury I should say, each year and in that we can’t find some savings? Closing some loopholes, quote “raising revenue”? Of Course we can!”
He did say “out of the economy” at the first stab and then quickly “recovered” to the more “I am Government and I should have first pickings!” that a typical Big Government Statist would have. He was actually right – the tax code allows those that actually earn it to keep that $1.3 Trillion for themselves – and why not? But in typical Progressive outlook, every dollar that we get to keep is seen as a dollar that is “robbed” from Government – else why would they continue to yammer that “this loophole” or “that loophole” has to be fixed.

At this point, there is no part of my immediate life that the “Slimdown”, as the Fed Govt has shut down an additional 17% of truly non-essential personnel, has effected. “Oh, you just don’t KNOW all the ways that Government works to make your life better every part of every day” is the blasting I’ll get from the Left (yeah, we’ll get the obligatory Timothy comment on this one). “Don’t you know that everyone and everything is connected? You’ll be sorry soon!!”

I have been a listener to talk radio for decades and I remember first listening to Howie Carr as one of the tax advocates “captains” with Barbara Anderson on the Jerry Williams show on WRKO and then again when he took over for Jerry a while later. Being a long distance commuter for years, Howie was a constant drive-home companion: news, humor, great guests, wit – and an abiding disdain for politicians that worked for themselves, to obtain power, and to pass out patronage jobs.
He does not disappoint – on the radio or in person. Syndicated columnist, Hall of Fame talk show host, and New York Times best selling author – he’d quite the guy. And he had quite the opinion of one NH based politician as well – but more on that in a bit.

Early in her term, we at GraniteGrok told Kelly Ayotte that she was exceeding our expections. Then, however, it was clear that she had thrown in with both US Senators Maverick McCain and Lindsey Grahamnesty. Then we heard about her embracing amnesty for illegal alients. And then leading the lynch mob against the Republicans in the US Senate that were actually fighting on conservative terms. People have been noticing.
Even Howie Carr had noticed the change in her and brought it up during his speech yesterday; he asked the crowd their opinion of Ayotte. To tell you the truth, I was caught by surprise by the reaction to the question:

The next speaker at the First Annual strong NH Conference was Mike Biundo. As an activist, I’ve known Mike for a number of years and have always seen him as a gentleman. While we disagree on a few issues, we have also joined forces on more than one ocassion in defending and advocating for Liberty and Freedom, for a more limited government. After working on the Rick Santorum and Romney campaigns, he started RightOn Strategies (along with Derek Dufresne and Kory Wood).
Here, he talks about time to get even more active – and get your friends and neighbors involved too! We have the ability, in NH, to make a difference. Join us – we are NH based and we live here – all the time.

Once again the Nashua paper fails to ask the questions that would expose voter fraud – they have been doing this since 2001 that I know of.
Here is the scam:
An out of state campaign worker steals a NH vote from the home of a NH resident, usually a liberal Democrat like State Senator Martha Fuller Clark, or in this case a Nashua activist and Democrat candidate Latha Mangipudi.
Then into the mix comes the pro-voter fraud excuses from the Nashua Moderator and some person in the AG’s office to make excuses for the out of state voter.
You would think they would tire of this game but no, winning elections for progressives is way too important than clean elections.
They cling desperately to some worn thin half truths about NH election Law.
Here we go with that nonsense from the AG cover up of State Senator Clark’s four non-resident voters the Nashua paper uses in this story:
New Jersey Governor Chris Christie argued that you must first ‘Get Republicans’ Elected if you want policy decisions made from a Republican perspective.
To my ear that admonition is little different from the phrase ‘We need more” teachers (cops, firefighters, social workers). The result of more of any of those things is not necessarily better education, safer streets, fewer fires, or stronger families. You will produce bigger budgets, higher taxes, and more bureaucracy, but that is about all you can guarantee.
You get the exact same result when the nostrum for the GOP’s misfortune hinges entirely on the idea that all we must do is elect someone with an (R) after their name. We just need more republicans.
Pete Silva is running for the New Hampshire House, but are the odds stacked against him?
We already pointed out that his opponent in the race, NH Democrat Latha Mangipudi, harbored an NH-AG Approved™ transient ballot-box stuffer at her home in 2012.
Pete’s old neighbors, David Tarbay and Linda Ziman, sold their house in 1997 to Kevin and Donna Collins. Tarbay and Ziman have not lived there for 15 years (Ziman owns a home in Maynard, MA) but they loved that old house so much that in November 2012 they voted absentee in New Hampshire from that 15 year old Nashua address, the election in which Silva lost his seat. Oh, and they voted absentee from that address in 2008 as well.
