Local NH Democrat Lucy Edwards is a contributor to People’s World, which is the latest incarnation of The Daily Worker–the American Communist Party paper of record.  They are not shy about the association, and proudly claim 99% (how cute) of their parentage from the Communist party newspaper.

Lucy, who is active with the NH Democrat party, organizer, agitator, and who has run for the NH House, is currently using senior issues to advocate the socialist agenda.  She is the president of the ‘NH Alliance for Retired Americans.’

President Obama is sometimes beyond parody — especially when he plays the populist.

Last week, Obama headlined a $32,000-a-plate fundraiser at the $26 million Greenwich, Conn., estate of a real estate mogul. During that dinner I noticed an email from Obama in my inbox warning me that “If Republicans win, we know who they’ll be fighting for. Once again, the interests of billionaires will come before the needs of the middle class.”

Obama has played this populist game unceasingly since he began his presidential run in 2007. He spoke as if he were being outspent while demolishing John McCain in fundraising. He declared war on lobbyists before hiring more than 100 of them and recruiting many as his top fundraisers. His top adviser at the White House — millionaire Valerie Jarrett — proclaimed that their administration was busy “speaking truth to power.” . . .

The richest county in America, according to IRS data on mean household income, is Teton County, Wyo., home of Jackson Hole. It’s the only Wyoming county Obama won in 2012. And Obama won it big — by 12 points, while losing the rest of the state by more than 40 points.

New Hampshire House Rep. Renny Cushing (D-Rockingham District 21) says he submitted a California like sexual consent bill because he has daughters.  Does he also have a good lawyer?

‘Yes means yes’ laws also hurt women. “Studies have shown that men are far less likely to report sexual assault than women, but with a law like this, where the choice could be between seeing their futures ruined by an accusation or coming forward with an accusation — young men would likely choose the latter option. If the law remains as it is written, then women would become just as disadvantaged. If, as opponents predict, the law leads to an increase of accusations, anyone accused — man or woman — would be hurt by the lack of basic due process rights.” Since in our culture, women generally feel privileged to touch men without prior consent, one would actually expect more women to be guilty.

President Obama’s pitiful response to the Ebola outbreak supports his ideological objectives but may sacrifice thousands of American lives.

A President who cared about American lives would have quickly acted to stop Ebola from being brought here.  Travelers from the regions with Ebola outbreaks wouldn’t be allowed into our country.

Homeland Security reports that nearly 500 people from the three countries with the greatest Ebola outbreaks were captured in 2013; many more probably escaped capture.  A caring President would have stopped all illegal border crossings.

There’s Larry Lessig’s PAC, the MayDay PAC, that is raising and spending millions of dollars this election cycle – to stop others from spending so much money.  So, too, is George Soro’s son.  The Left is as well.  Sorry, their stated of “taking the money out”, I believe, masks the real reason – stopping free speech (e.g., US Supreme Court’s “Citizen United” decision).  So even when Michelle Bachman starts complaining, I just shrug:

Retiring Rep. Michele Bachmann says it’s time to consider campaign spending limits, saying the levels of money raised and spent by candidates in recent elections have gotten out of whack.

“I believe that it is ridiculous the amount of money we’re spending on these elections; it’s gone into the realm of the bizarre and absurd, and even for Washington, D.C., standards,” the Minnesota Republican said Wednesday during an event hosted by the conservative Heritage Foundation in Washington.

Bachmann’s comments come four years after raising $13 million for her successful 2010 re-election bid to the House.

“That’s crazy money. That’s crazy that any candidate should have to raise that kind of money,” she said.

I caught the end of a commercial by (I believe it was paid for by the) DCCC that described NH Congressional District two candidate Marilinda Garcia as an education risk not worth taking.  Seems the Dems are working the rope line on “Garcia wants to shut down the Federal Department of Education” and hey– that’s bad for children.

Is it?  I bet they can’t prove that?

Parents!  When was the last time you interacted in a positive way, in any way at all, with the Federal Department of Education?  Ever?  Did you know they have a $70 Billion dollar plus annual budget. ( It was around $35 billion before Obama and the Democrat Congress doubled it in 2009.)  Have you felt the doubling in value, I haven’t.

Seventy Billion. Isn’t that New Hampshire’s entire state budget for about 12 years?   So Riddle me this.  What might happen in education if our share of that 70 Billion never left New Hampshire in the first place?  Would education collapse?
