The Seacoast Republican Women will host their 16th Annual Chili Fest on September 12, 2015 from 2 – 6 p.m. at the Scamman Farm, 69 Portsmouth Avenue, Stratham, NH. The event is open to the public and admission is $10 per person or $25 per family.
NH sits between ME and VT as the only state of the three without Constitutional Carry. Governor Hassan vetoed that very provision last session, but the bill is back next week for an override vote. Yesterday Citizens for a Strong New Hampshire released an ad targeting Governor Hassan for her failure to sign a budget deal and how it is affecting the heroin abuse problem in the state. The state legislature has compromised on much of the budget yet that isn’t good enough for Hassan. She wants to increase spending and taxes, neither of which will help the state.
Tomorrow there is a pro Iran treaty gathering in Milford, New Hampshire. Milford is a plucky berg, way down on the list of likely targets when the people who have sworn to destroy us get the means for their motivation. So what a great place to gather to prevent WAR!
This is it. After months of debate, Congress is set to vote for either diplomacy or war with Iran.
I get it. You are using the moral equivalent of war argument to organize without the moral part, just the war. How does that work exactly? If Obama doesn’t get his way get congress to sign off on his Iran deal he’s going to declare war on Iran? That would be the war equivalent of war, if I’m not mistaken.

Hundreds of North African immigrants clashed with police in Bresso, near Milan, Italy last week. The immigrants were upset about their living conditions and the failure of authorities to issue residence permits. Immigrants in Veneto refused to eat the pasta provided by local officials. They wanted to be fed food from their home countries. They [sic] immigrants then slashed the staff workers’ tires.
Just a “thank you for your assistance”, eh? Sounds just like some of the illegal immigrants here in the US – they come unasked, get upset when they are not serviced according to THEIR standards (as opposed to what the country that is being invaded can do). It is that “to be fed food from their home countries” as opposed to the native foods of their host country (and here, DEMAND citizenship to which they are not entitled – they don’t want to EARN it, just have it given to them…something about a Right or somesuch).
Citizens for a Strong NH has a message for Governor Maggie ‘Vetoed the Budget’ Hassan. That budget veto is hurting New Hampshire.

I’ve been trying to get Maggie Hassan’s office to say whether or not she’s seen undercover videos produced by the Center for Medical Progress. The videos—both the edited versions and the full, unedited footage—have been available online since mid-July. They show top-level Planned Parenthood doctors and administrators haggling over the price of baby parts. The most recent videos reveal that Planned Parenthood delivers intact baby cadavers to StemExpress, a research company. In one video, a former StemExpress employee describes witnessing a baby born alive, then vivisected. I believe this is a topic that is of interest to many New Hampshire citizens.

At the Marco Rubio campaign event at the Cheshire Historical Society in Keene today, there was standing room only for attendees to hear the Senator’s campaign pitch. He began his speech with mild disapproval of the Republican establishment being the party of, “change around the margins”, meaning that for the Republicans currently in power, big changes were not really the goal; only small tweaks to the status quo were on order. I liked where he was going with that sentiment—that, as President, he would bring actual change to Washington instead of just small corrections. We need that.

I would think that the Establishment Republicans would be ecstatic over that stat given all of the verbiage they have spilled the last few years on “reaching out to the minority communities”. So, what should one be thinking when we hear that but ALSO now hearing that those same folks are trying to strategize on how to railroad Trump out of the race? Again, I point this out not to bolster Trump but to point out the absolute hypocriticalness of the entrenched Central Command whose strategy of flooding the zone with folks to get their candidate elected (Jeb Bush whose seemingly failing ways are seeing a shift to Kasich?) along with the Papa Smurf Sununu rigged rules for the convention and nomination was supposed to “fix” the result. And then along came Donald Trump, Ben Carson, and Carly Fiorina and a handful of “outside the beltway” Rs to, as I have said from time to time, throw “sand into the gearworks”.

(Hint: public-sector labor unions here, as elsewhere, successfully seek rents.) A slice:
But oddly, as the number of fires has dropped, the ranks of firefighters have continued to grow — significantly. There are half as many fires as there were 30 years ago, but about 50 percent more people are paid to fight them.
The problem, IMHO, is “stat inflation” – more and more “instances” and claims that more and more is needed to handle them. It is only when one looks into the details
I had forgotten about this until I read Chan’s “Thoughts on a Sunday” last night who talked about it:
It’s bad enough California’s legislature has already done considerable damage to the state’s economy. Now they want to make it even worse by giving power to the California Air Resources Board to ration gasoline and diesel fuel as a means of reducing air pollution.
Yeah, the same crew that have all but eliminated wood burning stoves, wanted to ban gas powered lawnmowers, and shut down your outside grills. Their aim is to have 100% “clean air” no matter what the cost or the impact on the State’s residents. It is ONLY the mission that counts with these folks…
To quote Squidward, “Just when I thought they couldn’t get any stupider…”
To meet the mandate, the state air resources board will be able to ration gas, place mobility restrictions on state residents, place surcharges on family mini-vans, trucks and SUVs, and even monitor individuals’ fuel consumption records.
Think about what that means to what we call “the Land of the Free”.

The thing is, I really try to watch out for conspiracy theories but with what I have seen here in the US over the last 8 years, where I have been so wrong or not seeing enough, I do have to think about this.
