• Actually want us to believe that they are most able to suspend this most basic Law of Economics.

Or both.  I grow weary of the political charades by which Republican elected officials tell us things, contrary to any kind of common-sense, basic language skills, logical reasoning and the Platform, and in which we know is deliberately false.  Not only that, but for journalists that don’t bother to challenge them on these falsehoods to the point that I don’t know who is whose lapdog and sycophant.

Cultural Appropriation – what a nonsense idea!  It’s all the rage with the PC college campi and Social Justice Warrior jihadists in that one culture (generally white because RACISM!) decides to seriously or lightheartedly take some aspect of an oppressed (generally non-white because RACISM!) culture (oops, I just appropriated “jihad” from a culture that is not my own).  Like simply using their language (“putz”) or some other artifact (eg. that college president that threw a Mexican party where attendees donned sombreros, wore fake mustaches, and probably sang “Ay yay yay yay, I am the Frito Bandito”) – oh, the absolute horror of it all!

Well, in this light, I thought this was just grand, in the lane of “what’s good for the goose is good for the gander” (reformatted, emphasis mine):

That would be former DNC Chair, Clintonista bundler and current Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe (D) who ran on putting in place severe gun control and restrictions.  Well, he did get elected but the Republican Legislature denied him that action but did do some Executive Orders a la “Obama’s pen and phone”.  So, in a pique, his Attorney General (D) unilaterally decided that he would sever almost all reciprocity agreements concerning firearm carry laws.

This has not set well with the Republican Legislature – along the lines of if McAuliffe doesn’t like people having guns and has gone out of his way to deny them best he can, well (reformatted, emphasis mine):

It seems that when Grant Bosse approached me to be hired as House Chief of Staff after the House Republican vote to support me for Speaker, I should have been a little more encouraging to him. 

The Union Leader has an opinion piece today from Grant Bosse in which he says, “After the House Republican Caucus made the brutal mistake of nominating Rep. Bill O’Brien for speaker, ignoring two years of solid evidence that the Mont Vernon Republican is simply not suited for the job, Jasper launched his candidacy from the House floor.”

Yesterday it was announced that former President Bill Clinton, accused by multiple women of sexual assault and rape, will be stumping in Exeter and Nashua on January 4th for his wife. Apparently Hillary Clinton isn’t doing so great against Bernie Sanders in New Hampshire polling so she wants to bring in a Democrat that many still revere.

Hey, I tried.

Last night I thought I would visit the Trump Phenomenon in person at a school in Nashua , doors open at 5 pm. I was stuck in traffic starting about a mile from the road the school is on. When I made it to my left turn towards the school parking lot there was a sign saying the lot was full. This was by now about 6:15 and no end to the traffic was in sight.

No, not THAT Trump – the reality that standards are generally there for a reason in life, safety, and the military.  Physical strength counts and counts for a lot (yes, I just got a reminder of that this weekend when *I* couldn’t open the Saab’s coolant cover no matter what I did and the Eldest simply grinned and opened it in 4 seconds).  The Youngest has only contempt for those in civilian command posts (and the PC General Staff that pander to them) that believe that women are interchangeable with men when it comes, not only in fighting in combat, but in hauling combat loads under difficult conditions without breaking down.

Breitbart is reporting that the National Data Director for the Sanders Campaign, the one at the center of the Clinton data breach controversy, was recommended to the campaign the Democrat National Committee.

Now, in explosive claims, an unnamed Sanders adviser has alleged to Yahoo News that Uretsky was recommended to the Sanders campaign by the DNC themselves.

According to the adviser, (Josh) Uretsky was personally recommended to them by the DNC’s National Data Director, as well as a former COO of NGP VAN.

Every Legislator in New Hampshire should or shall receive the letter below alleging  an ongoing misrepresentation of credit-hours by the University of New Hampshire. The letter and report assert that UNH gives extra credit hours compared to the actual amount of instruction and course work. Credit hours affect full-time status, completion of degree programs, grants and aid, and so on, so if true this would have serious repercussions.

Unlike the black ice found on Britain’s streets, which is clear and takes on the colour of dark surfaces underneath it, Greenland’s ice and snow really is becoming darker. Dr Fox, who co-founded the Dark Snow Project to measure the impact of the blackening ice on its ability to reflect sunlight, has calculated that the ice sheet is 5.6 per cent darker this year than last.
