Ryan Williams Thinks a Romney endorsement could help an “electable” candidate beat Trump and Cruz.

RCP | Although endorsements do not often bear on the party’s choice of its nominee, a major one like Romney’s could help resolve an intraparty squabble — particularly in the instance of a drawn-out fight among more moderate candidates that strengthens Trump and Cruz.

Romney “has an interest in seeing a credible candidate win this nomination,” (Ryan)Williams said. “I could see him stepping in to help support the most conservative electable candidate that would potentially serve as a reasonable alternative to Cruz or Trump … after the early states have pared down the field.”

I laughed out loud but I have not decided what was more humorous; Rino Williams’ use of the word conservative, which in this context means an aisle-crossing, Democrat-agenda advancing moderate Republican, or the word “electable” – which means an aisle-crossing, Democrat-agenda advancing moderate Republican who can’t possibly win a an election for President.

I giggle every time I read it. I just can’t help myself.
