Panicked, the two armed men ran through the store to exit in the back, but were stopped by a citizen with a gun.

The Supreme Court decision in Luis v. United States addresses the governments ability to seize assets from a suspect that cannot be connected to the case and specifically, that the pretrial restraint of a criminal defendant’s legitimate, untainted assets needed to retain her counsel of choice violates the Sixth Amendment.

Justice Breyer, in a 5-3 decision, wrote that,

The government can seize, …, “a robber’s loot, a drug seller’s cocaine, a burglar’s tools, or other property associated with the planning, implementing, or concealing of a crime.”

But it cannot, he said, freeze money or other assets unconnected to the crime.

I have known Corey Lewandowski for about twelve years or more. In that time I have never known him to be a person who would viciously attack anyone, let alone some female reporter in a public forum. Nor would I imagine he would jeopardize any cause or candidate he was working for by doing so. Corey isn’t stupid by any means. So I am giving Corey the benefit of the doubt.

Being a blogger who is not particularly a Trump supporter but someone who lives in NH and has seen more than my share of a media frenzy, I thought I would take a look at some facts and info from other sources starting with the first thing I heard about this on Glen Beck’s program where Corey was accused of attempting to pull this reporter to the ground. You’ve seen the Leftist protesters at the Trump rallies and they have said they will be targeting other Republicans and the Republican Convention – anyone my age or older remembers Chicago ’68 when the same type of folks tried to force the Democrats to their will. Yesterday it was reported that because Buzzfeed and Fox News “inadvertently” kept reporterMichelle Fields’ address and phone number in the police report they posted that she had to temporarily leave her home due to threats she was getting. Fields is the reporter who is at the center of “LYINdowskiGate” where Trump’s campaign manager Corey Lewandowski was accused of grabbing her away from Trump in the midst of asking a question about Affirmative Action after an event.

From the very beginning Lewandowski claimed nothing ever happened as did Trump. After pressure to report the incident to the local police, Fields did. Lewandowski was charged with simply battery just the other day because Trump’s own security video from his hotel showed that Lewandowski did indeed grab Fields and pull her back.
