Once again, the blame resides entirely with Democrats for these job losses that otherwise would not occur – not a single Republican in the US House or Senate voted to effectively nationalize the nation’s healthcare and healthcare insurance industries.  And as we go further into it, we see that costs are going up, this Affordable Care Act is turning more and more unaffordable, and it is having large negative impacts on the “little people” that Democrats profess to be for.  Such is the transformation that Obama promised.  From the Laconia Citizen (emphasis mine, reformatted):

I missed last night’s CNN Townhall with the Republican Prez candidates.  As always, Donald Trump made the buzz of the night.  Certainly his utterance on abortion made waves.  Sure, I am a pro-life supporter but even I blanched when I heard what he said.  That said, it’s what else he said that caught my attention on one of my most important question: The Proper Role of Government.  I have resisted the impulse to be a Trump basher given the absolute hee-bee jee-bees he has given the GOPe and shaken up how the issues are being discussed; for that he should be applauded.  However, I did need to blog my displeasure on this.  Anderson Cooper is the interviewer

COOPER: In your opinion, what are the top three functions of the United States government?

TRUMP: Well, the greatest function of all by far is security for our nation. I would also say health care, I would also say education. I mean, there are many, many things, but I would say the top three are security, security, security.  We have to have security for our country so that we can continue to exist as a country. We are in danger. Thousands and thousands of people are infiltrating our country. We don’t know who they are. There’s a very vicious world. We’re living in a very vicious world and we’re doing something that is against a lot of very smart people’s wishes. I can tell you, it’s totally against my wishes.

…Kansas was one of the first states to reverse that in 2013.  “I believe most Americans and most Kansans think it’s common sense,” said Andrew Wiens of the Kansas Department for Children & Families. “These are able-bodied adults without dependents. They don’t have children in the home. They’re not elderly, they’re not disabled. These folks should be working.” Since Kansas reinstated work rules, food stamp rolls dropped by 20,000 and the incomes of those who left increased by 127 percent, Wiens said.

..Maine followed the Kansas lead in 2014. In the first three months, the number of able-bodied adults without children on food stamps fell by almost 80 percent.

Yup, Republicans in other state making sure their citizens’ Federal taxes aren’t paying for able bodied loafers / takers.  NH?

As I’m sure you are all aware by now Trump’s campaign manager Corey Lewandowski (LYINdowski) was charged with simple battery by the Jupiter Police in Florida for grabbing reporter Michelle Fields. This story has played out for a few weeks now in what would have never even been a story if Lewandowski had just apologized.

Instead of apologizing, the entire Trump team decided to LIE about the incident and said it never happened. All while having the actual video that showed Lewandowski did indeed grab her and pull her back as she was asking Trump a question.

I was saddened by Ted Hill’s letter of March 18 in the Laconia Daily Sun (laconiadailysun.com).  Mr. Hill seems to have been deceived by leftists about the threats to his children.  The threats to young people from things that families, friends, teachers, and acquaintances influence are 250 times greater than the threat from police and perhaps many thousand times greater than the threat to people who obey police commands (even if someone feels they are undeserved).  The fact is that the chance of police using harmful force against someone who is following their directions, as responsible parents teach their children, is essentially zero.

The top three killers, responsible for over 77% of black male deaths ages 15-24, are homicide, accidents, and suicide (http://goo.gl/GftYNg.).  Black males, 20-24, are three times more likely to die from HIV, the sixth most likely cause of death, than from legal intervention.  The top two killers (http://goo.gl/3nA0Dt), claiming 39-48% of black females ages 15 -24 are accidents and homicide, number 5 is suicide.

The main causes of death for all young people, 15-24, in 2013 (http://goo.gl/laC6gT) were 11,619 from accidents, 4878 from suicide, 4329 from homicide, 3796 from drugs, 149 from alcohol, and 109 from HIV.  These lethal results are influenced by family, friends, acquaintances, teachers, etc., not by police.

Did the governor of New Hampshire just suggest that our current firearm carry laws help make New Hampshire one of the safest states in the nation?

He was quoted on WMUR on that line a couple of nights ago.  When I heard it, I just shook my head – what Conservative would say such a thing?  Conservatarians don’t want to change the world they want to, you know, conserve it.  We don’t believe we are the ones that should (or can) force large numbers of folks to change their lifestyles just because we think it would be better for them.  Oh sure, we may try to persuade them of it but ultimately it is their choice.

This is funny as all get out – and EXACTLY what low cost States should be doing to the money-grubbing ones.  I put this post up yesterday about the deep Blue State of Connecticut eyeing more revenue by going after the endowment funds held by Yale with the main message of “theft by the point of a pen”.  The message was that private property really isn’t all that private when Legislators decide that “your’s is ours” under the Progressive rubric “We know how to spend your money than you do”.
