NRA ‘Gun Nut’ Stops Knife Wielding ‘Alleged’ Terrorist in Minnesota

nra

Minnesota: Law enforcement has identified the terrorist who stabbed nine people in St. Cloud, Minnesota this weekend as a 22-year-old Somali-American who once worked as a security guard. Dahir Adan died when an off-duty policeman shot him repeatedly as Adan tried to keep stabbing, shouting “Allahu akbar!” and reportedly demanding to know the religion of his victims.

Police are still considering his motivation because, sensitivity training. But there’s no need to be sensitive about the guy who stopped the ‘alleged’ terrorist.

The ACC’s adoption of Cultural Marxism gets a smackdown big time

acc-commissionor-swoffordFirst the NCAA and now the ACC have decided to strip North Carolina of any championships, especially football (as that is the time of year) because its state’s legislature decided that your chromosomes determine which bathroom you should go to with the passage of HB2. I am glad to see that Gov McCrory has stayed firm to principles and has not (yet?) caved in on this like former Indiana Gov. (and current running mate of Donald Trump) did on its religious / conscience protection law.

But one person that remains on message is Reverend Franklin Graham, the son of famed evangelist Billy Graham.  He wrote a letter to the head of the ACC and the schools that are in that athletic conference calling them out on their absolute hypocrisy on calling out North Carolina but refusing to do the same of their big dollar sponsors.  Gosh, it’s almost like the ACC is no better than any ordinary corrupt politician (does Hillary Clinton come to mind)? Emphasis mine:

How we got to this point (in part)

Political correctness grew out of the Marxism of the first half of the 20th century, particularly via the “critical theory” obsessions of the Weimar-era socialist Frankfurt School. Similarly, with their purges, speech codes, and purity tests, college campuses in the 21st century are essentially a recreation of the internal terror wars of the Soviet Union under Stalin, without the left-on-left body count. At least not yet. (H/T: Ed Driscoll)

ivory-towerWe may have won the Cold War but did the Communists / Socialists win the Long war? Go read the whole thing – grabbing just a couple of snippets does it no justice.  This should, however, grab your attention as to how we have arrived at such a deplorable state of society (emphasis mine):

A Rose by Any Other, Other, Other, Name….

Al_Gore_Fire bannerGlobal Warming became ineffective when the globe stopped warming, so the poo-flinging progressive narrative monkeys changed it to ‘Climate Change.’ To borrow from the Guinness Guys, Brilliant! The climate is changing all the time. Any dope who says they don’t agree with ‘Climate Change’ (wink-wink), especially here in New England, will look like a stodgy old fool.

Of course, around New England, it was the stodgy old fools that coined the phrase “Don’t like the weather, wait five minutes” long before  the narrative monkeys decided it was a bad thing and their fault.

Yesterday the Rubens campaign issued a short press release explaining why he was absent from the Republican Unity Breakfast the day after the New Hampshire Primary.

Jim Rubens and his wife Susan had every intention of attending and were looking forward to Wednesday’s Unity Breakfast and publicly supporting Senator Ayotte and the entire Republican ticket. Unfortunately, the Rubens campaign was denied tickets.

And yes, as a matter of fact, there is a story behind why tickets were denied.

Huffington Post Inadvertently Exposes the Pay Gap Myth

I love this.

The Huffington Post and raging intellect Kristen Bell inadvertently make the conservative (thus factual) case as to why looking at the “fact that women get paid 77 cents for every dollar men do” is  completely specious. (For our lefty readers, specious means on the surface something looks correct, but actually it isn’t. You’re welcome.)

I mean if there truly is a wage gap and women are in fact getting 23 cents on the dollar less than men for the same work, why wouldn’t a company employ only women? I’m a stockholder, and if I found out a company in which I’m invested is overpaying employees, there’d be hell to pay. But of course, we all know there are other variables at play when considering the pay differential such as the number of hours worked, occupations, etc. Watch:

Ramesh Ponnuru put’s it perfectly:

Data Point – Trust in Journalism down again; CNN shows why

Such a headline:

Fueled by Republicans, Americans’ trust in media hits all-time low

Hmmm, ya think maybe they just bring this upon themselves?  I’ve been putting up the Gallup graphs for a long time so I’m not surprised:

gallup_journalism-trust-2016-09-14But CNN, like many Lefty media outlets, just can’t seem to understand that when you decide to call out and slime half your audience, to belittle them and denigrate them, there is generally going to be a reaction due to that decision.  The resulting “unexpected!” consequence just seem to escape them.

Go ahead, keep blaming the Republicans for this year but what about all those other years?  And here’s an CNN example:

Data Point – CEO compensation

Instead, advocates of redistribution cavalierly diminish the importance of incentives. They claim the success of America’s 1% stems from rising cronyism despite overwhelming evidence that the status quo has grown less entrenched. Seventy percent of the wealth of the top 0.1% is owned by self-employed business owners who bested competitors to satisfy customers, not cronies, … Read more
