According to several school superintendents in New Hampshire this lease purchase statute was designed to buy buildings, not just equipment, and it also, according to their reading, allows an SAU to lease purchase – even though an SAU is not a governing body.

Section 33:7-e

    33:7-e Lease Agreements of Equipment. – The governing body may enter into leases of equipment as required by the municipality. Appropriations to fund lease agreements with nonappropriation clauses may be approved by a simple majority vote of the legislative body. Lease agreements with nonappropriation clauses shall not be treated as debt under RSA 33:4-a. For the purposes of this section, “lease” shall include lease-purchase, sale and lease back, installment sale, or other similar agreement to acquire use or ownership of such equipment as is from time to time required by the municipality. For purposes of this section and RSA 382-A, building or facility improvements related to the installation, purpose, or operation of such equipment shall be deemed to constitute equipment and the costs of such improvements may be financed through lease agreements under this section.

Does the US oppress black Americans?  Colin Kaepernick says “Yes”.  Is this just the attempt of a “has been” to get noticed or is he right?

Are our black President, Cabinet Secretaries, Governors, Mayors, Judges, Congressmen, Senators, billionaires, millionaires, and thousands of other black officials oppressed?  Are college educated and other blacks with good jobs, and those living in nice neighborhoods with good, safe schools for their children oppressed?  No.

However, many poor Americans, including many blacks, live in oppressive conditions; they live in poverty, in areas where jobs, especially good jobs, are scarce, in high crime neighborhoods with frequent shootings, and send their children to poor and dangerous schools.  These conditions exist in many inner cities.

These cities are almost exclusively controlled by Democrat politicians.

A snippet from a podcast between Glenn Reynolds (Instapundit) and Russ Roberts as transcribed by Ed Driscoll.  The topic was on another writer saying we should give up on following the Constitution (emphasis mine):

REYNOLDS: Here’s the problem with public officials — because that’s really [Seidman’s] audience — deciding to ignore the Constitution: If you’re the president, if you’re a member of Congress, if you are a TSA agent, the only reason why somebody should listen to what you say, instead of horsewhipping you out of town for your impertinence, is because you exercise power via the Constitution. If the Constitution doesn’t count, you don’t have any legitimate power. You’re a thief, a brigand, an officious busybody, somebody who should be tarred and feathered and run out of town on a rail for trying to exercise power you don’t possess.

So if we’re going to start ignoring the Constitution, I’m fine with that. The first part I’m going to start ignoring is the part that says, I have to do whatever they say.

ROBERTS: But his argument is that we already ignore the Constitution; it’s not really much of a binding document.

REYNOLDS: Oh, well, then I’m free to do whatever I want!  And actually, that is a damning admission, because what that really says is: If you believe Seidman’s argument; if you believe that we already ignore the Constitution anyway, then in fact, the government rules by sheer naked force, and nothing else. And if that’s what you believe, then all of this talk of revolution suddenly doesn’t seem so crazy, it seems almost mandatory.

As we listen to the chickens fighting over who birthed the birther movement let us not forget. Hillary’s 2008 Presidential Campaign Co-Chair and NH state campaign Chairman Billy Shaheen, lawyer, and husband of now US Senator Jeanne Shaheen, both of them longtime Clinton meat-puppets, floated the “past drug use will bite Obama in the ass” story to the Washington Post.

While the job of a campaign “co-chair” can be a largely ceremonial one, Bill Shaheen and his wife aren’t exactly strangers to Hillary Clinton.

Jurupa Unified School District officials sent a letter home to parents Friday to inform them about the unconfirmed cases (of Leprsoy) and provide resources to learn more about the rare disease, said district Supt. Elliott Duchon.
