Second Congressional District Democrat Congresswoman Ann McLane Kuster backed legislation today that would prohibit the use of Federal funds to enforce President Trump’s Executive Order on travel bans because,

“America should serve as a beacon of hope around the world and President Trump’s executive action halting the acceptance of refugees only serves to undermine the standing and leadership of the United States,” said Congresswoman Kuster.

McKluster’s Press Release, which is titled Kuster Backs Legislation to Halt Trump’s Travel Ban, ignores entirely her support for H.R. 158, which would restrict entry to US for those who have traveled to Iraq or Syria during the preceding five years, or who have dual citizenship with Iraq, Syria, Iran or Sudan.

Democrat NH AG Joe Foster, like a lot of Democrat hacks, just played the religious liberty card to support their opposition to the Trump 90-day hiatus on unrestricted travel from terrorist nations.

“Religious liberty has been and always will be a bedrock principle of our country and no President can change that truth. Targeting immigrants and others because of their national origin or faith violates that core principle and ignores our history as a nation of immigrants.

Someone tell the Christian Florist, the Baker, and the Pizza Pie Maker!, and Democrats in New Hampshire who opposed the State’s Education scholarship tax credit on, among other reasons, religious grounds.

Remember when Democrats said that the Republicans proposed business tax cuts would lead to a budget shortfall? They were hyperbolic in their pronouncements. Doom. Gloom.

Calling the proposal dishonest in what it pays for, Hassan blasted the GOP spending plan, saying corporate tax cuts to businesses based out of state would leave the budget out of balance by nearly $100 million.

HANGOVER: President Donald Trump said on Thursday that he wants Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell to invoke the nuclear option if Democrats try to block his upcoming Supreme Court nominee through filibuster.

These really are putting McConnell on the REALLY HOT seat.  Trump has announced that his choice will be revealed tomorrow at 8pm.  The Democrats have now announced (first time that I can remember) that without knowing who it is, they are going to try to stop it. So what is McConnell going to do?

On January 10, 1923, NH’s more than 450,000 residents enjoyed equally the right to defend themselves, their families, their property and the state. By May of that year, 91,000 found themselves criminalized and statutorily stripped of those rights. But New Hampshire is the “Live Free or Die” state. How could that happen?

In 1922, more than 17,000 people were employed at the Amoskeag Mills in Manchester, the state’s largest enterprise and once the world’s largest cotton textile mill. Many had been recruited from overseas.

In fact, legal immigration to New Hampshire between 1880 and 1920 more than doubled from 46,284 to 91,397. In each of the years leading up to 1923, these foreign-born, legal residents enjoyed the same right of self-defense as any native-born New Hampshire citizen.

However, following the end of War World I, the falling demand for and growing competition to Amoskeag’s products started the mills’ slow decline. Despite good faith negotiations with Amoskeag’s Boston-based owners, on February 22, 1922, Amoskeag announced that pay would be reduced by 20 percent while hours increased from 48 to 54 hours per week. A nine-month strike ensued, but the 12,000 striking workers were eventually brought to heel in November of 1922.

On January 11 of 1923, Representative Cobliegh of Nashua introduced HB 26, “An act to control the possession, sale and use of pistols and revolvers” which, once enacted, disarmed and criminalized not just the foreign-born Amoskeag workers but 100% of the more than 91,000 “foreign-born, unnaturalized” people living in NH.
